The Manager-Field Services Capital Analysis is responsible for the development and management of the FS (Field Services) capital budget administration processes, that direct the approval and distribution of all FS capital investments. This position will serve as a financial advisor to the FS management team and will create analytical models for FS operational initiatives such that profitability is well understood for all initiatives. Therefore, this position must span the operational and financial disciplines. The scope of this position also includes interpretation and communication of profitability analysis, business trends, budgets, forecasts, scenario planning, and related analytical requests from FS leadership. Regular interaction and council with senior management of TDS Telecom is required. Responsibilities Build and administer a comprehensive system for capital spending analysis for Field Services operations initiatives. Provide detailed analysis of SAP, and daily operational data to help guide daily decision making within all of FS. Develop, create, and maintain timely and accurate Field Services daily, weekly or monthly reports. Gather operational data from personnel throughout the company, and from published sources. Maintain, improve, and revise database files as needed. Work with Operating Companies / Markets to monitor performance objectives using existing metrics/reports or creating needed metrics/reports along with business analysis of cost and benefits for changes. Manage the Capital Analysis Support Team that is responsible for manging and forecasting the Wireline, Cable, and OOT equipment. Maintain inventory by working closely with Supply Chain, forecasting models, Category Managers, and SAP (Inventory controls). Responsible for monthly and annual reconciliation across TDS Telecom. Provide leadership for the five-year forecast, monthly project budget, and committed cost true ups for all operational FS expenses. Assist with the creation of the SLRF (Strategic Long-Range Forecast), and annual budget.Perform inventory management analysis, and forecasting. Work closely with supply chain and marketing to develop forecasting and inventory models for FS supplies (Service Drop, Optical Network Terminal, and Customer Premise Equipment). Assist in the creation, editing, and publishing of NetOps communications and Sharepoint sites. Assit with special projects, as they arise. Serve as key member of PAC. Provide FS support of operational tools – IUTA, UPS shipping. Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience. - 3+ years of overall experience in multiple disciplines spanning project management, facilities management, supply chain, finance, accounting, or operational systems support. - 2+ years of financial reporting responsibility.
