The Supervisor, Transportation is responsible for the leadership, coaching, and performance management of frontline transportation support teams. This role ensures consistent execution of MTM’s transportation operations through effective field support, provider engagement, training, and compliance oversight. The Supervisor, Transportation ensures alignment across provider-facing functions, driving accountability, standardization, and high-quality service delivery. This position partners closely with internal stakeholders to support contract compliance, safety standards, documentation accuracy, and continuous operational improvement across transportation provider operations. This role must sit within VA. What you’ll do: Team Leadership & Supervision - Provide daily leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct and indirect reports - Establish clear expectations, goals, and accountability standards aligned with MTM KPIs and Virginia DMAS contractual requirements - Conduct regular team meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews to promote engagement, development, and results - Partner with People & Culture to support hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning for transportation operations roles Transportation Network Oversight & Compliance - Ensure consistent oversight of transportation providers and drivers through coordinated efforts between internal stakeholders, including credentialing, education, inspections, audits, and corrective actions - Monitor compliance with MTM policies, Virginia DMAS transportation regulations, and contract requirements, escalating risks or repeat deficiencies as appropriate - Support resolution of provider performance issues, service concerns, and compliance gaps through structured action plans and follow-up monitoring Field Operations & Training - Oversee field-based activities conducted including in-person driver training, vehicle inspections, field audits, and identity verification - Ensure documentation related to inspections, audits, training, and provider compliance is accurately maintained in MTM systems and audit-ready - Review trends in field findings and provider performance to identify systemic issues, training needs, or process improvement opportunities Operational Performance & Reporting - Track and analyze team performance metrics, provider compliance data, and operational outcomes to ensure departmental goals are met or exceeded - Assist with the preparation and review of operational reports, dashboards, and leadership summaries related to transportation quality, compliance, and provider performance - Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects related to transportation operations, provider network performance, and contract deliverables Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement - Maintain strong working relationships with internal MTM partners to ensure operational alignment - Serve as an escalation point for complex provider or field issues requiring leadership intervention and coordinated resolution - Represent Transportation Operations in meetings, initiatives, and discussions related to provider performance and field operations, as assigned What you’ll need: Experience, Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - 1+ year of experience training or facilitating education for adult learners, preferably in transportation, compliance, safety, or field operations environments - 1+ years of leadership, mentorship or supervisory experience, or an equivalent experience - CTAA Passenger Assistance and Safety (PASS) Train-the-Trainer Certification (may be obtained after hire within a defined onboarding or compliance timeframe) - Certification in Basic First Aid (current or obtained within required onboarding timeframe) Skills: - Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills - Working knowledge of NEMT operations, transportation provider management, and field compliance activities - Familiarity with Medicaid transportation programs and state & federal NEMT requirements - Tech savvy with the ability to learn how to troubleshoot technical issues while navigating multiple systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel - Strong analytical & strategic planning skills - Maintain a strong knowledge of products and services - Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills - Ability to motivate and supervise people toward high productivity - Strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to all levels of employees - Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of MTM protocols, Transportation Provider Network system, and personnel policies - High degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong skills in coaching, mentoring and fostering a positive work environment Even better if you have... - College degree in a related field, preferred - 2+ years’ experience overseeing a team primarily made up of work at home or remote agents, preferred - 2+ years’ experience in transportation operations, provider management, field operations, compliance, or vendor support roles, preferred - Experience working in Medicaid, NEMT, or regulated service environments strongly preferred What’s in it for you: - Health and Life Insurance Plans - Dental and Vision Plans - 401(k) with a company match - Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay - Maternity/Paternity Leave - Casual Dress Environment - Tuition Reimbursement - MTM Perks Discount Program - Leadership Mentoring Opportunities Salary Min: $47,920 Salary Max: $52,000 This information reflects the base salary pay range for this job based on current national market data.
