Job Description

Community Manager

Longdue Games

About the game Hopetown is a new narrative-first RPG inspired by Disco Elysium, being built by some of the team that worked on Disco Elysium, including Martin Luiga (founder of the ZA/UM Cultural Movement, writer of several characters on Disco Elysium, writer of the first short story in the Disco Elysium world),  Lenval Brown (narrator of Disco Elysium) and Piotr Sobolewski (former CEO of Knights of U, which completed all the tech for Disco Elysium).  We are currently moving into early production, building out the foundational systems, characters, and mechanics that will define the experience. With your help, we can transform Hopetown from a great cRPG into an unforgettable one — a living, breathing universe of stories, surprises, and challenges. About us Longdue is a studio founded to create rich, emotional, story-first games that challenge players’ expectations. We’re a remote team of writers, artists, designers, and engineers, bringing together talent from across the industry to push the boundaries of narrative-driven RPGs. We are still early in production, meaning new team members will have a real, tangible impact on the world we are building. We believe that extraordinary games can come from small, focused teams that value creativity, openness, and care over convention. About the role We’re looking for a Community Manager to be the voice of Longdue to the world, fostering connections with fans and amplifying our presence in the video game industry. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for someone enthusiastic about video games—especially RPGs—and deeply engaged with gaming communities like Reddit, Discord, and Twitch. As our Community Manager, you’ll manage social media channels, engage with fans, and build a vibrant community that shares our passion for immersive storytelling. You’ll also play a key role in promoting our upcoming Kickstarter campaign, building excitement, and ensuring the success of our community-driven initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES - Community Engagement: Build and maintain a strong presence across platforms such as Reddit, Discord, Twitch, and Instagram. - Social Media Management: Create and schedule engaging posts, updates, and announcements to excite and grow our audience. - Fan Interaction: Respond to community questions, participate in discussions, and make fans feel heard and valued. - Monitor and Analyse: Track community sentiment and engagement metrics to refine outreach strategies. - Event Awareness: Stay informed about key gaming industry events, trends, and titles, sharing relevant insights with the team and fans. - Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with the marketing, narrative, and design teams to align messaging with the studio’s vision.

Job Requirements

  • We’re looking for someone eager to connect with fans, grow a thriving community, and contribute to shaping the future of narrative-driven games.
  • Passion for Video Games: Deep interest in RPGs and narrative-heavy titles. Familiarity with Disco Elysium is a big plus.
  • Community Knowledge: Active engagement in video game forums like Reddit, Discord, or Twitch, with an understanding of their unique dynamics.
  • Social Media Management: Professional or personal experience managing social media channels (this is highly desired).
  • Excellent Communication Skills: A natural communicator who writes and speaks with enthusiasm and clarity.
  • Enthusiastic and Proactive: Hard-working and initiative-taking, with the ability to explore new ways to engage with the community.
  • Organised and Reliable: Able to juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay on top of community needs.

Benefits

  • Creative Freedom: Shape the community and voice of a groundbreaking RPG studio.
  • Work with the Best: Collaborate closely with, and be mentored by, award-winning entrepreneurs (Forbes 30 Under 30, NatWest Entrepreneur of the Year).
  • Flexible Working: We’re a remote-first studio—work wherever inspiration strikes.
  • Thought-Provoking Project: Be part of a game that challenges conventions, offers a deep philosophical experience, and explores the human psyche.
