Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT, ideally with a focus on software development and operations
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering, or a completed IT-related vocational training
- Career changers with relevant further training or additional professional experience are welcome
- Proficiency in German at least at the C1 level
- Comfortable with customer contact and willing to conduct training sessions and workshops
- Experience with DevOps tools and cloud-based microservices
- Familiarity with agile development practices
- Experience with Software as a Service, containers, Kubernetes, or automated deployments
- Analytical skills to develop tailored solutions
- Passion for systematic problem solving of technical challenges
- Experience with various scripting languages or programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, C#, or shell scripts
- CI/CD, GitOps, Helm, Ansible, or Terraform are not entirely unfamiliar to you
- Weekend on-call duty (daytime only and compensated)

Role Description ECS is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity DevOps and Kubernetes Engineer to work remotely. The Senior Cybersecurity DevOps and Kubernetes Engineer is driven to solve complex business and data problems by developing and maintaining a Kubernetes-based application environment that is configured through code. This includes: - Developing a rapidly deployable Kubernetes architecture configured through code. - Scripting deployments of Kubernetes clusters. - Maintaining automation that allows code updates through a DevSecOps pipeline. This role helps enable ECS to continually deliver state-of-the-art solutions for security and defense to its customers. The Kubernetes Engineer will be expected to interface with a wide variety of teams and maintain relationships that enable successful integration of the disparate parts of an Enterprise-class data and analytics solution. They will work with Data Scientists, Cloud Architects, and Analysts to ensure that clear data and analytics problems are being addressed and that the solution addresses the problem.
