Demand Generation Specialist Salary: $65,000–$75,000 CAD/year Location: Remote (Canada) Team: Marketing Reports to: Growth Manager (direct report to Senior Marketing Manager) Role type: Individual Contributor About the Role Veem is hiring an experienced Growth Marketing Lead to own our inbound and paid lead generation engine end-to-end. This role is designed for an experienced growth marketer who has built and scaled demand generation programs before and can operate independently with minimal oversight. You will define the lead generation strategy, execute it hands-on, and continuously optimize for qualified pipeline. This is not a people-management role. It is a high-impact individual contributor position with direct visibility to senior leadership. We are intentionally hiring for experience. We expect this person to bring a point of view, proven frameworks, and strong judgment — not to learn demand generation on the job. What You’ll Own Lead Generation Strategy - Define and own Veem’s inbound and paid lead generation strategy for: - SMB and mid-market customers - Fintech, PSP, and platform partners - Translate ICPs into keyword strategies, landing page architecture, and funnel stages - Identify and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities to drive qualified demand SEO, Content, and On-Page Optimization - Own keyword research, clustering, and on-page SEO strategy - Implement on-page SEO directly within WordPress using Rank Math (in partnership with a dedicated website manager) - Draft, publish, and optimize SEO-driven content, including: - Comparison pages - Solution and industry pages - Landing pages for paid campaigns - Continuously test and improve page performance based on traffic and conversion data Paid Acquisition - Set up, manage, and optimize Google Search campaigns (initial focus) - Own and scale a paid media budget starting at ~$5k/month, with a target of ~$10k/month - Write ad copy, manage bidding strategies, and align ads with landing pages - Launch and optimize remarketing as the program matures - Expand into additional channels over time (e.g. Bing, YouTube, LinkedIn) Conversion Optimization - Improve traffic-to-lead conversion rates across key pages - Identify friction points and optimization opportunities across the funnel Analytics, Reporting, and Alignment - Monitor performance using GA4 and Google Search Console - Track and report on: - Traffic by channel - Keyword performance and rankings - Conversion rates and lead quality - Deliver biweekly, CEO-ready reporting with clear insights, recommendations, and next steps - Work closely with sales through weekly syncs to ensure alignment on lead quality and pipeline impact - Use HubSpot to understand lead flow, lifecycle progression, and sales outcomes What We’re Looking For Required - Google Ads and GA4 experience required - 3–5+ years of experience in growth, demand generation, or performance marketing - Proven experience building and scaling inbound lead generation programs in B2B fintech - Hands-on experience implementing on-page SEO within WordPress using Rank Math or similar SEO plugins - Experience managing paid search budgets of $5-10k per month - Deep understanding of SEO, paid search, and conversion optimization - Comfortable owning strategy and execution end-to-end with minimal oversight - Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience reporting to senior leadership Nice to Have - Experience using HubSpot as a CRM and marketing platform - Familiarity with Looker / Looker Studio - Experience expanding paid programs beyond Google Ads (Bing/Youtube) - Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy industries
