Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be the driving force that connects our legal leadership with our junior team members. This is a "Heavyweight" role designed for a lawyer who is ready to transition into a leadership role. You will sit at the center of the action by partnering with the business on complex global projects while providing the day-to-day direction and mentorship to scale our junior team’s impact. This is a broad, high-impact role with significant scope to expand. We are looking for a generalist at heart who is comfortable being the "engine room" of the legal team. While you will lead on our commercial velocity - managing high-volume commercial workflows - you will not be siloed into a purely transactional role. You will touch every part of a global fintech, from navigating complex regulatory shifts and supporting product innovation to advising on international expansion. As you master the core commercial landscape, you will have the opportunity to lead strategic projects and take on wider responsibilities across the group, making this an ideal role for a future leader who wants to own the commercial legal roadmap of a top tier fintech. Key ResponsibilitiesThe Commercial Engine: Drive the drafting and negotiation of high-impact commercial contracts, partnership deals, and vendor agreements that power Zepz’s global operations. Strategic Advisory: Serve as a senior advisor to the business on a wide range of areas, including data privacy, consumer law and complex regulatory shifts. Regulatory & Product Navigation: Partner with Compliance, Product and Engineering teams to build compliant payment and crypto solutions within a complex, highly regulated global environment. Leadership & Functional Growth: Act as a leader for the commercial legal function, providing professional development and mentorship to junior team members to ensure high-level output. Process Evolution: Collaborate with Legal Ops to streamline high-volume workflows, moving from manual execution to scalable, automated systems. About YouQualified Solicitor: Typically 6+ years PQE (as a guide) with a valid UK practicing certificate.
