Perl Developer
Mindera
• Develop, maintain, and optimize server-side applications in Perl • Work extensively with CPAN modules and common Perl frameworks such as Catalyst, DBIx::Class, Plack (PSGI), Template Toolkit (TT), and Moose • Build scalable architectures and contribute to design discussions • Develop and enhance client-side functionality using JavaScript • Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL • Perform schema design, optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting • Work with Git for version control • Deploy, debug, and monitor applications in a Linux environment • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues across the stack • Identify opportunities for improving application performance, stability, and maintainability • Write unit tests using Perl and JavaScript testing frameworks • Refactor legacy codebases to improve structure, readability, and performance • Follow best practices, coding standards, and documentation processes • Work with cross-functional teams including product, test, and DevOps • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives • Switch contexts effectively while handling multiple feature requests and support tasks.
Job Requirements
- Strong experience in Perl server-side development
- Deep understanding of CPAN, Catalyst, DBIx::Class, Moose, Plack (PSGI), and Template Toolkit
- Hands-on experience in JavaScript
- Strong SQL expertise and familiarity with PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Experience with Git version control workflows
- Solid debugging, problem analysis, and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
