Freelance Auditor, ISO – Integrated Management Systems
SCS Global Services
• Independently, or in a team, conduct a robust and detailed verification of our customers to check for compliance against relevant ISO standards • Perform verification in an industrial setting, at companies such as blast furnaces, iron, steel and aluminium foundries and processors, chemical plants, pulp mills, printers • Generate high-quality verification reports, ensuring accurate, detailed, and consistent descriptions of evidence and findings • Be proficient in program and verification requirements, ensuring a pragmatic approach to a wide range of verification circumstances while maintaining the integrity of the program • Communicate the requirements of ISO standards to clients clearly, effectively, and concisely • Communicate regularly with clients ensuring that Corrective Action Requests are closed within appropriate deadlines • Communicate promptly with SCS staff on the scheduling of verifications and revisions to draft reports, if needed
Job Requirements
- Certification as an ISO external auditor (e.g., IRCA or equivalent)
- Relevant experience in auditing management systems
- At least 2 full certification cycles
- Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and their requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and evaluate processes objectively
- Familiarity with industry-specific processes and regulations (depending on the sector)
- Working proficiency in English for reading, writing, and verbal communications
- Working proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, and/or German
- Other languages a plus
