Market Operations Analyst (1 PM to 10 PM)
MEMX
Description MEMX is searching for a Market Operations Analyst to join our US Team. The primary focus of this role is customer service, being the first point of contact for exchange members, ensuring timely responses and ticket logging for all interactions. Other responsibilities include the monitoring and troubleshooting of the exchange. The team identifies and mitigates operational risks and attends to members' requests. Clear and consistent communication across many different internal and external departments will be necessary. The shift time for this role will be 1 PM to 10 PM ET. In your first few months you will be working the standard Monday to Friday shift. In the coming months, the team’s goal is to move your shift to Saturday through Wednesday after you are fully ramped. This position will also be working U.S. holidays. MEMX currently has a U.S. presence in these states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, & Utah. *If you live outside of the above states, please list in your application and our team will evaluate. Requirements - 3 to 5 years or more of trade desk or operations desk experience at a broker dealer or exchange - Effective and clear communicator that is able to handle complex issues with customers and internal groups in high pressure situations - Experience supporting FIX and SBE Protocols - Strong data analytics capabilities with the ability to write basic queries in SQL, Groovy or Python - Must be confident working with real-time monitoring to identify issues and help solve problems - Knowledge of U.S. equity markets, market structure, and clearing - Willingness to obtain necessary licenses as directed by Compliance - Desire to learn new things and be flexible in a quickly changing environment - Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex operational setting - Self-starter who can work independently What You’ll Do - Answering phone calls from clients - Responding to emails and Jira tickets - Verifying and monitoring trading and clearing systems - Investigating issues using internal and external tools - Liaising with other Market Operations team members and other internal/external groups to resolve issues - Ad-hoc project work as required Benefits At MEMX you will have the ability to work with a talented team of professionals who bring diversity of thought and background.
