Job DescriptionThe Business Development Manager - Education will be responsible but not limited to the following: - Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities and close sales orders within accounts as assigned - Create, manage, and maintain sales pipelines with assigned accounts - Promote and sell Avigilon’s products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory and accounts - Create, maintain, and execute business plans for assigned accounts and strategic alliances - Work with Global Sales Team members to execute and complete business plans for assigned accounts - Develop and maintain relationships at Executive level with all assigned accounts - Service and maintain created partner programs for assigned accounts - Work to identify new markets, partnering opportunities with accounts, new business plans and objectives - Oversee and manage the sale of Avigilon products and services within the assigned accounts - Prepare proposals and quotes for prospective customers and provide them with published prices, and information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates. Discounts beyond the published price pages must be proposed and approved by the Vice President Business Development, North America. Work on key deals to help define and oversee how our products are deployed - Provide product and sales training to assigned accounts to help them understand our products including how and when they should be used according to their specific application - Identify key surveillance market influencers, establish contact with them, and demonstrate to them the superiority and utility of our products - Participate in the development of training materials - Feedback end user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases - Develop standardized Strategic Alliance partnership presentations and sales tools for use by RSD/RSMs outlining Avigilon value proposition within partner’s enterprise - Create a positive work environment and utilize team building skills with other team members and direct reports Specific Knowledge & Skills: - 5+ years of video security solutions sales experience - Experience with selling into the education vertical - Physical security solutions experience a plus - Experience working with channel strategies and initiatives - Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions - Ability to accurately forecast revenue on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis - Proven record of achievement in delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships - Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy is required - Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills - Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment - Must reside in thre greater Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW) and be travel by air and car within territory Target Base Salary Range $85,000 - $100,000 USD On Target Earning Range: $170,000 - $200,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
