Dates: Tuesday 26th May – Friday 29th May Purpose: Explore the dynamic world of real estate with Savills through our engaging Virtual Apprenticeship Insight Programme. This programme is designed to give you a comprehensive introduction to the property industry and offers valuable insights into the experience of being an apprentice here at Savills. The programme is open to students in Year 12 and 13 (1st and 2nd year at college) and above. What to Expect: This opportunity is perfect for students looking to gain an understanding of the real estate industry or those considering an apprenticeship in property. Here is what you can expect from the programme: - Interactive Activities - Participate in hands-on tasks and challenges designed to give you practical insight into the day-to-day responsibilities of an apprentice here at Savills. - Career Pathways - Discover various career opportunities at Savills and receive guidance on how to pursue a successful career in the real estate sector. - Live Webinars - Learn directly from industry experts in real-time sessions covering key areas of real estate, including property management, residential sales, and sustainability. Additionally, hear valuable recruitment tips straight from the Apprenticeship Team to equip you for any future applications you make. At the start of the programme, you will be registered on our online learning platform, granting you access to the four-day programme. You will be able to work through each days learning at your own pace, but attendance at the live sessions throughout the week is required. The sessions will take place between 9.00am – 5.30pm. You will also be added to a dedicated Microsoft Teams Channel, allowing easy communication with the Apprenticeship Team throughout the duration of the programme. Assessment for this programme: - Application form (CV and essay question) - Screening telephone interview (between Tuesday 5th May – Thursday 7th May) Applications close on Monday 27th April at 9am. We reserve the right to close applications at our discretion prior to the stated deadline. We recommend submitting your application as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Candidates are advised not to copy answers directly from Chat GPT / other AI platforms. Please be aware that copying responses directly from these platforms will result in your application being rejected and not considered for further progression. Entry requirements: - Applicants must be at least 16 years old to participate and should either be studying for A Levels or equivalent qualifications, or have recently completed their studies at this level. We’re ideally looking for students in Year 12 or those who have just completed their studies. - Applicants must hold GCSE English and Maths, Grade 4 or above. - Please note, this opportunity is only available for candidates that are eligible to live, work and remain in the UK. - This virtual programme includes live sessions scheduled in UK time. We are seeking a dynamic Corporate Events and Meetings Manager to join our operations team. This role will lead the strategy for our premier industry gatherings and manage the end-to-end planning, implementation, and fiscal oversight of our corporate events and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) efforts. This position offers a remote work option within Florida, though we highly prefer candidates located in our corporate office in Tallahassee, FL. Core Responsibilities: - Lead project management for the creation, recommendation, and implementation of an effective marketing plan and strategy for VISIT FLORIDA's corporate events and MICE marketing efforts. - Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end logistics for high profile meetings and events, including Florida's Governor's Conference on Tourism, Florida Huddle & Encounter, and the Board of Directors' meetings; ensure seamless delivery aligned with goals and stakeholder expectations. - Oversee all aspects of event operations and procurement, including site selection, contract negotiation, budget management, food and beverage, registration systems, and speaker coordination; direct on-site execution to ensure exceptional attendee experience. - Manage VISIT FLORIDA's Cover Your Event Insurance, working closely with broker and Chief Operating Officer on execution on program rules and benefits. - Manage key events and shows, such as IMEX America, coordinating stand builds, logistics, and recruitment of supplier partners and planners. - Attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to represent VISIT FLORIDA, expanding sales and industry knowledge while targeting businesses within the meetings market. - Conduct post-event surveys to measure ROI and analyze program effectiveness. - Develop and recommend budgets for all assigned meetings and events, monitoring them to ensure fiscal responsibility.
