Overview The intern will support the Corporate Development team in evaluating strategic growth opportunities, conducting market research, and assisting with financial and business analyses that inform key corporate initiatives. The intern will assist in researching industry trends, competitive dynamics across different products, and market landscapes to support strategic decision-making. The intern will also gain direct experience in helping prepare presentations and other materials for leadership on potential investments, acquisitions or related projects. This role is designed for current juniors or seniors seeking to gain hands-on experience working within a Corporate Development team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Conduct market research to evaluate industry trends, customer segments, and emerging technologies relevant to Cotiviti’s strategic priorities - Perform competitive analysis, including benchmarking competitors’ products, financial performance, go‑to‑market strategies, and organizational moves - Support deal sourcing by researching companies through databases and identifying potential acquisition targets based on predefined metrics - Assist in building and updating financial models and analyses under team guidance - Contribute to due diligence by reviewing information on target companies’ financials, operations, products, and markets - Attend expert interview calls and summarize discussion into concise key takeaways - Support ad-hoc strategic analyses such as whitespace / TAM analyses, buy vs. build, and scenario analyses Qualifications - Current junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field - Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills - Deep interest in corporate development, M&A, corporate strategy, valuation and/or financial analysis - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred - Basic knowledge in the U.S. Healthcare sector preferred MENTAL REQUIREMENTS - Motivated individual who is a quick learner, intuitive and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Communicating with others to exchange information. - Problem-solving and thinking critically. - Making timely decisions in the context of a workflow. - Ability to effectively and efficiently solve normal challenges and problems in an office/business environment - Strong organizational skills plus strong written and oral communication capabilities - Ability to work both independently and in an Agile team environment.
