Job Description

Senior Game Systems Designer – Mobile

MON Co.

• Oversee the conceptualization, design, and iterative refinement of game mechanics, ensuring a balanced blend of creativity and market viability. • Understand game systems and core game loops, iteration process and cross team collaboration. • Introduce and implement structured problem-solving methodologies and frameworks within the design team. • Establish clear documentation standards for game design documents (GDDs), feature specifications, and other design-related materials. • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, and monetization to align design strategies with business goals. • Establish and promote a data-driven design process, emphasizing the use of analytics to inform design decisions and iterate on game features. • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate game design effectiveness. • Analyze game data and player feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization in game mechanics, features, and overall player experience. • Implement A/B testing methodologies to validate design hypotheses and optimize game performance. • No paper designers here! Ability to work in engine and understand custom tools and needs of engineers. • Ability to white box level designs

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in game design with a track record of successfully launching games, ideally in the mobile space.
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team of designers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and implementing data-driven design strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with experience working in a corporate environment.
  • Deep understanding of mobile game monetization strategies, including in-app purchases, ad integrations, and other revenue models.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex design challenges with structured and robust methodologies.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Unreal Engine & Unity.
