Job Requirements
- Native-level fluency in the target language
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
- A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
- 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
- 3- years demonstrable experience in localizing in game video content.
- In depth and practical understanding of the nuances and considerations of translating gaming content types
- Transcreation experience specifically within the gaming sector.
- An in-depth understanding of the Cosa Nostra (Sicilian Mafia) in the 1900’s.
- Experience translating the specific jargon of organized crime, turn of the turn-of-the-century firearms and vehicles.
- Familiarity with game engines and localization pipelines.
- Knowledge of scripting formats (e.g., XML, JSON) is a plus.
- Passion for video games, especially sports, action, or narrative-driven titles.
