• Review files requiring Extensions, Dismissals, Probate matters, Death Certificates, and Special Administrator/Personal Representative Defendant Substitutions. • Draft a variety of court pleadings related to Extensions, Trial Scheduling, Dismissals, Probate, Death Certificates, and Special Administrator/Personal Representative Substitutions. • Prepare and file Land Court Petitions Noting Death as needed. • Oversee the handling of both Formal and Informal Probate matters in collaboration with the assigned Probate Attorney. • Manage the calendaring of all hearings, deadlines, and key dates associated with assigned tasks. • Coordinate publication requirements and payments for Probate‑related notices and orders. • Assist the Litigation Paralegal with contested matters, including drafting pleadings and managing litigation calendars. • Participate in cross‑training for Extensions and Trial Scheduling and transition responsibilities as tasks are reassigned. • Begin training on additional paralegal duties involving drafting and preparing various court motions and orders as Extension work shifts. • Request documents from courts and communicate with court personnel as needed or directed. • Obtain records from the Bureau of Conveyances, Department of Health, and other state or federal agencies on a case‑by‑case basis. • Submit requests for additional fees when necessary. • Communicate directly with clients via phone, email, and client portals in a professional and timely manner. • Monitor client portals and Morty Tracking Pages daily, updating information as appropriate. • Contribute to team success by supporting related tasks and performing other duties as assigned.
