The Business Development Manager is responsible for the pursuit of projects space rental and permanent modular construction side. This role reports to the General Manager, Quebec & Ottawa. The role is best aligned for someone who’s on a professional selling track and whose experience in consultative selling will allow them to promote ATCO's value proposition in a manner that best aligns with the client's unique needs. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, driven, and a self-starter who embraces the responsibility of achieving high annual financial results for the company. They will develop and lead the pursuit strategy, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to position the company for optimal success. With a keen eye for identifying and mitigating risks, introducing strategic advantages, and a solid understanding of contracts, the Business Development Manager is a well-rounded communicator and moreover a humble and effective team player. This will be a remote role based out of Halifax, with the individual being required to travel within the territory as needed. What You Get to Do: - Manage assigned territory and be responsible for achieving an annual revenue target. - Develop proposals and RFP responses and carry out the life cycle of the pursuit from inception to award. - Review, analyze and interpret various forms of construction contracts and associated risk profiling. - Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and client meetings. - Track, monitor and analyze market trends and conditions and adapt as required. You Are Someone Who: - Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma required. Engineering, Design, Construction Management or related is preferred. Sales and business-related degrees may also be considered. - 5+ years of technical sales experience in construction, engineering design, or related industry preferred. - Has a desire to take accountability and progressively advance a career with a proven industry leader. - Is a high performer who shares ATCO’s core values and seeks to be part of a driven team that sets to command the industry and is inspired to win by delivering innovative solutions to the market. - Is an effective communicator who is solutions oriented with an entrepreneurial drive and whose relationship building skills enables you to connect with people at all levels in an organization. - Ability to travel within Canada. A Telephonic Case Manager assists consumers in their recovery so that they may return to the highest level of function as possible.
