Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Telehealth AUTONOMOUS PRACTICE in VIRGINIA LICENSE REQUIRED MySpectrum Counseling & Coaching is looking for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team through the provision of Telehealth. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an outpatient mental health practice, as well as experience providing Telehealth, to a variety of clients with a variety of mental health needs. This person is responsible for assessing patient need for medication, prescribing medication, medication management and monitoring, recording client progress, and educating patient and families as needed. Duties are performed using a HIPAA compliant web-based platform. Requirements: • Current, Virginia Board of Nursing and the Virginia Board of Medicine and Nursing to practice Independently as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority. • Current, DEA registration. • Examine, evaluate, diagnose and treat psychiatric and mental illnesses. • Experience working with other professionals to ensure best practice. • Skilled in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist and aid in the course of daily medical responsibilities. • Experience in documenting in the medical record and articulating and interacting with patients and others regarding clinical / administrative concerns or issues.
