Broadway Blvd, Tucson Posting Details: Salary: $85,479.00 - $90,200.00 Grade: 25 Closing Date: April 23, 2026 Job Summary: This position performs highly responsible tasks managing/supervising the State’s Occupational Safety and Health Consultation and Cooperative Programs; evaluates public and private employer’s establishment for conditions of compliance of the State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health standards, regulations, laws, rules, and codes; oversees the On-site Consultation Project, and Outreach Training. This position also schedules and visits with outside stakeholders on a routine basis; delivers high-impact information to attendees and ways they can be involved in the cooperative programs offered by the State OSHA program. Provides opportunities for marketing outreach training to cities and counties throughout the state. Markets the value of the free services we provide well before any compliance activity. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Job Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ● Actively promote and develop Alliances and Partnerships with trade and professional associations, companies, labor unions, educational institutions, community and faith-based groups, and government agencies, and groups of employers, employees, and employee representatives that are committed to workplace safety and health. ● Conduct annual reviews to determine if participants are meeting the program’s fundamental requirements. ● Supervisor day to day activities and work production from all assigned units. ● Oversee the Voluntary Protection Program in the state of Arizona. Review all VPP on-site evaluation reports. ● Make recommendations or decisions for participation to the ADOSH Director. ● Review audits annually to determine program issues and/or deficiencies, modify procedures to improve program implementation. ● Develop and deliver presentations at conferences, VPP, SHARP, and PEPP ceremonies, associations' meetings, and stakeholder events promoting ADOSH cooperative programs and consultation services. ● Develop marketing and outreach strategies for adoptions of new Standards, Directives, Emphasis programs and future events for the ICA Chief of Legislative Affairs/Public Information Officer. ● Oversees outreach training and designing activities to target employers identified in the Consultation Annual Program Plan (CAPP) or the State Annual Performance Plan. ● Evaluate where promotion or outreach is ineffective, develop new strategies to address shortcomings. ● Attending, contributing, and offering solution to the Arizona Management System (AMS) for the Compliance Assistance Specialist and Consultation sections. This includes areas such as A3 project development, metric development, process improvements, huddle boards, standard work, GEMBA walks, one on one coaching, annual appraisals, and problem solving. BS in a related Safety and/or Health field from an accredited college or university and 6 yrs. of work-related safety experience in the following General Industry settings, Construction Industry, and Agriculture Industry where reports were drafted as a result of walk around audits of said industry. Five years of supervisory experience. You will be charged with developing mutually beneficial relationships with sponsors while working toward the successful and timely execution of applicable contract-related documents. You will work in conjunction with the Office of General Counsel to develop and negotiate contractual language on behalf of the institution as well as the Budget Administrator to obtain finalized clinical trial budgets. You will also provide day-to-day administrative management support to Principal Investigators and their research teams, departmental business managers, and other stakeholders in resolving contract issues. The position includes the general development and ongoing refinement of administrative infrastructure for the management of financial and contractual activity associated with for-profit corporate sponsorship as well as non-industry submissions pertaining to clinical trials. It will also integrate diverse elements of clinical trial management and requires creativity, teamwork and collegiality to develop and maintain sound fiscal and related administrative systems. As a successful candidate, you will: - Utilize subject matter expertise and guidance from the Office of General Counsel to negotiate contracts with clinical trial sponsors. - Negotiate clinical trial costs that typically contain total per patient costs, start-up / administrative fees, indirect costs and payment schedule based on work completed by a third-party coverage analysis and budget developer. - Analyze new contracts or confidential disclosure agreements received from sponsors, internal committees, or PI/study team office and determine if language conforms to institutional policy. - Carry out periodic review of study files to ensure administrative quality, compliance and consistency across clinical trials. - Review protocol amendments for revisions affecting the budget and/or contract. - Track all relevant data metrics and participate in the development of new data systems and tools for electronic administration of clinical trials, including financing and documentation, at City of Hope.
