Company Overview Under minimum supervision, investigates, negotiates and settles general liability, product liability, landlord, and other claims. Job Details - Conducts interviews with injured customers, store personnel, and witnesses within twenty-four hours of receiving a reported incident. - Maintains ongoing telephone contact with appropriate parties throughout the life of the file. - Evaluates the monetary exposure of claims using professional experience and investigative skills. - Controls the activities of service providers, including defense attorneys, medical case managers, and private investigators, to minimize claim expense and maximize results. - Develops and maintains a proactive strategic action plan for the duration of the file. - Maintains a working knowledge of general liability laws and statutes across multiple states. Qualifications - Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders - Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently - Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments - Handles confrontational or sensitive situations with maturity, professionalism, and sound judgment - Possesses a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint - Thrives in a team‑oriented environment, contributing positively to group objectives while supporting collective success - Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three to five years experience required. Extensive insurance claims background with emphasis on premises liability or general liability.
