We are seeking a detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal with experience in U.S. immigration law and familiarity with Canadian immigration processes to support a busy immigration law practice. This role focuses on preparing employment-based and family-based immigration cases, managing documentation, and assembling complete application packages for attorney review and filing. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with an attorney. The goal of this role is to create a streamlined case preparation workflow where applications are fully prepared and organized prior to final attorney review and submission. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and manage employment-based and family-based immigration case files - Complete and review DS-160 and DS-260 forms accurately based on client-provided information - Gather and review supporting documentation to ensure applications are complete and compliant - Generate immigration case documentation using Serenade immigration software - Draft supporting letters and assemble application packages using established templates and workflows - Organize and maintain case files and documentation in OneDrive or similar shared systems - Review applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to attorney review - Identify and resolve common DS-160 issues including corrections, updates, and consular submission requirements - Maintain organized case workflows to ensure efficient preparation and timely filings - Support attorneys by delivering well-prepared, review-ready case packages
Job Requirements
- 1–2+ years of experience working in U.S. and Canadian immigration law
- Hands-on experience preparing DS-160 and DS-260 forms
- Strong familiarity with U.S. nonimmigrant visa categories, including B1/B2, E-2, L-1, O-1, H-1B, and related classifications
- Experience preparing employment-based and family-based immigration applications
- Ability to gather client information and accurately prepare immigration forms
- Experience reviewing DS-160 applications for completeness and compliance prior to attorney review
- Experience using Serenade immigration software
- Ability to prepare case documentation using templates and standardized workflows
- Experience organizing legal documentation in shared file systems such as OneDrive
- Strong written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience supporting U.S. and Canadian law firms remotely
