Job Description

Technical Project Manager, AI Infrastructure

Vultr

• Manage project statuses and ensure technical work, dependencies, and risks are accurately captured and reported. • Facilitate sprint planning for engineering teams balancing planned roadmap work against frequent interrupt-driven requests. • Assist with departmental reporting by translating engineering progress into clear, concise updates for leadership. • Work with engineering teams to capture current and future work prioritization, including technical requirements, constraints, and tradeoffs — particularly around capacity allocation between planned sprints and unplanned escalations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met. • Maintain project timelines, task lists, and statuses, with visibility into how interrupt work impacts planned commitments. • Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues with key stakeholders, including proactive flagging when interrupt volume threatens sprint goals. • Assist with engineering team planning and roadmapping, ensuring technical capacity, dependencies, and platform considerations are accounted for.

Job Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience as a technical project manager or in a project role supporting engineering, infrastructure, or software development teams.
  • 1-2 years experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, or similar)
  • Experience working in a remote, agile environment
  • Experience putting together technical project status reports
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong communication skills
  • ‘In service to’ mindset with respect to the team's processes and communication practices.
