Job Summary and Responsibilities The Senior Technical Analyst provides application technology expertise and direction in the application support/development/implementation of highly complex enterprise wide cross functional programs or projects. May lead to resolution of highly complex problems. The Senior Technical Analyst may occasionally work on projects, engaged in enterprise wide projects as a team member or as a team leader. Acts as subject matter expert for multiple areas. Leads a cross functional team to troubleshoot highly complex hardware, software and system problems. Essential Functions: - Responsible for delivering or leading the design, development, support, maintenance deployment of functional applications as well as information support processes. - Responsible for taking on-call shifts on a regular basis. - Lead resolution of highly complex issues or requests that need a technical expert for specific solution sets. Typically involved in problem management activities which includes performing diagnosis, troubleshooting and critical thinking to solve or fulfill needs of medium and high complexity; utilizing knowledge management and escalating issues when necessary. - Follows appropriate change control process at all times - Responsible for completing tasks and associated documentation within committed timeframes, and effectively communicating across teams and all levels of management. - Lead technical analysis discussions, deliver supporting artifacts and assist with conducting review sessions for all necessary approvals. - Develops, maintains and is a reviewer of knowledge management artifacts and leads transition to operations functions following implementation delivery. - Receives necessary information and training of applications during the implementation of new solutions, upgrades, fixes. - Leads product release management functions which may include developing test plans, perform test plans, facilitate with end user for end user acceptance testing and may develop application validation scripts for ongoing operations team. - Participates in estimating and resource planning for highly complex or enterprise wide solutions. - Provides guidance and training and problem solving assistance to other team members and operational support teams. - Leads efforts on continuous process improvement activities to ultimately improve customer satisfaction experience. - Involved in the development of service level agreements (SLAs). The Revenue Cycle Application Analyst III has the primary responsibility to configure and provide advanced functional and technical support for the set of Epic applications to a variety of business and clinical users. In addition, he/she is responsible to collaborate with business partners to understand the workflow and its interdependencies and make corrective system adjustments or enhancements considering best practices. This role is the central point of communication for an assigned set of business partners and coordinates all activities on behalf of the Revenue Cycle Application Support team. This role works closely with business leaders to spearhead the process, project planning, and implementation for the application module(s). This role is the functional and technical Subject Matter Expert on the associated application(s) and workflow. They demonstrate a skilled understanding of the Epic application/technology and enterprise processes (integrated workflows) and collaborate closely with all associated application and operational teams to drive a holistic and world class solution. Key leader and mentor in analysis and solution recommendations for system corrective actions and resolution of problems within software applications. Provides in-depth analysis and documentation of workflows, data collections, end user report details and other technical issues associated with the application, with vendor and internal stakeholder consideration. Creates and executes test scripts for new system builds. Trains and mentor’s application analysts in best practice system workflows and documentation standards. Leads business partners and technical team to define, document, and review business system requirements to continuously improve organizational efficiency. Role Description Using industry-standard testing tools and practices, this position ensures that internal and external applications and products meet customer specifications. Collaborates with the Testing team to develop and implement quality assurance and testing standards within the area of responsibility. This includes both manual and automated testing strategies, and leading less senior resources in applying quality assurance for software applications. - Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications/products and enhance existing applications throughout the development/product lifecycle. - Review current automation testing capabilities and practices, and develop new automation strategies to increase automation test coverage. - Mentor other testing resources in best practices. - Analyze project documentation and technical specifications to create testing documentation and understand products/projects. - Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing methods, including system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing. - Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives addressing existing and potential software defects in IT systems and projects across the organization. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the IT organization. - Liaise with vendors and suppliers to assess applications/systems and ensure they meet customer requirements. - Define test objectives, write test plans and test cases, and develop test scripts. - Execute manual and automated test scripts. - Coordinate activities for defect tracking and resolution, and analyze performance/stress testing results. - Coordinate testing resources across multiple projects and provide assistance for junior team members. - Maintain ongoing communication with leadership and training staff to ensure effective and efficient use of application systems. - Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project managers. - Create User Stories and Task Flows and participate in Agile Scrum sessions. - Perform other duties as assigned, with regular and reliable attendance required. - Work under periodic evening and weekend schedules, sitting for extended periods, and operating computer components. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - U.S. Citizenship required. - Ability to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense background investigation. - 5 years of experience in quality assurance/software testing or related field. - Experience with automated test tools like Katalon, TOSCA, and Selenium. - Experience developing and documenting test cases in Xray, ALM, or JIRA. - Experience establishing quality assurance measures and testing standards. - Familiarity with Agile project methodology. - 1+ years of experience automating Web-based applications and APIs with TOSCA. - 3+ years of experience working with Jenkins and CI/CD tools. - 3+ years of experience testing ETL, writing SQL statements, and executing them. - Preferred: 7+ years of experience in quality assurance/software testing or related field. - Preferred: Experience in the Health Care Industry. - Preferred: Experience developing and documenting test strategies. - Preferred: Experience with AngularJS and Java languages.
