Shift Details: Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: Responsible for the physical development, implementation and maintenance of the database management systems and underlying databases for Froedtert & Community Health's Information Systems. This environment primarily includes Oracle and Microsoft SQLServer databases running on UNIX and Windows platforms. This position will also assist the Applications team in the installation and support of major business application and data warehousing initiatives supporting the hospitals' end user departments. Will work closely with Team Lead and Manager to ensure that the database environment delivers at a service level consistent with organizational risk, information access requirements, and business strategies. Position works to improve or maintain a high level of database system performance and availability through the implementation of sound technologies and consistent Works with other staff to ensure proper implementation of computing infrastructure in support of business application initiatives. Promote teamwork, stewardship, and accountability. Provides technical consulting on moderate to complex initiatives. Evaluates existing systems and procedures, and makes recommendations for improvements as required. Must provide updates regarding the performance and availability of the Database environment and proactively work to resolve problems. Other duties as assigned. As an L3 Database Administrator, you will serve as the highest escalation point for complex database issues, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of mission‑critical data systems. You will administer distributed and relational databases, lead architecture improvements, and collaborate closely with infrastructure, application, and development teams to maintain a robust and scalable data environment.
