Sr. IT Consultant

Role Description The Sr IT Consultant will work with the entire Amplix team as well as clients and prospective clients on a daily basis. This position will also work extensively with our Ecosystem of partners and providers to learn, to vet and to be able to recommend appropriate designs and solutions to our team and clients. Key Responsibilities - Provide Pre-Sales technical support and work directly with Amplix team members to help with all topology designs, solutions, opportunities and recommendations of IT solutions. - Ongoing evaluation of Cyber, Cloud, AI and Network partners and products to ensure we are always recommending optimal products and the top partners available. - Listen and help walk clients through a solution-based journey to anticipate what they can expect from the process. - Work directly with clients and prospective clients to discuss and recommend solutions that clients have requested or that may help clients with efficiencies, production, and cost savings. - Develop tools to assist sales and team members navigate technologies and partners to narrow focus appropriate partners for a specific client application and solution. - Create and walk clients through tools to assist understanding of assessments, key items to address based on severity and all components of a solution to support them. - Engage with all partners and TSDs to understand offerings as well as taking note of companies who excel with specific technologies, support and client experience. - Research industry to stay up to speed on all latest technologies and continuous knowledge improvements including day zero evolutions within Cyber Technologies and latest black hat attack targets and vectors. - Present technologies, topologies and options to clients having the ability to carry the meeting, address and overcome objections and questions and often run point during client meetings. - Assist team members with any questions and challenges while always being a complete team player. - Assist team members and clients with technical issues and/or trouble escalations. - Leverage all resources available to ensure optimal designs and outcomes. - Encourage revenue growth by inspiring clients to review additional services that will ultimately benefit them and their organizations. - Must have strong note taking and documentation skills. - Review and take partner trainings available via our TSDs or directly via partner training pages as well as attend training events that are scheduled directly with Amplix. - Ability to leverage past relationships to introduce potential clients to Amplix. - Provide continuous communication, feedback and ideas with leadership to improve Amplix, and our employees and clients’ lives. - Participate in company meetings, department meetings and other company events. - Conflicts and other challenges are to be promptly communicated to your supervisor then HR if not resolved within a reasonable time frame (chain of command). - Participate in all company training courses provided and successfully complete all necessary online and self-paced training courses in the defined timelines required. - Maintain an awareness of and always strive to practice and improve upon your personal integrity, honesty, positive outlook and attitude, sense of urgency, follow through, accountability, communication, sales, social and relationship skills, continuing training and education, company, industry, and product knowledge. Qualifications - Technical school or college level education; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 10 years of practical and/or direct experience working with the full stack of Cyber solutions. - Solid presentation and communication skills. - Similar roles and industry experience with service providers that are consistent with expectation. - Deep, well-rounded experience and solid understanding of public and private cloud, MSP services, AI and Cyber technology solutions. - Understanding of IT, including connectivity, routing, voice, SaaS applications and industry/product knowledge and complementary technologies. - Extensive knowledge required of Windows computer hardware and software, Microsoft Office products. - Ability to simultaneously be involved with many different opportunities and provide direction for client/team. - Ability to perform in highly stressful environments. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public. - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. - Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, create presentations, download forms, and preserve/backup important data. - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. - This position requires a valid insurable Driver’s License. A valid passport is preferred. All Technical Certifications are a plus. - Experience working in the Channel is a plus. - Travel up to 25% of the time. Compensation The compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $210,000 USD. The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different titles and levels depending on background and experience. The company reserves the right to offer additional compensation at its discretion, for example, in the form of a discretionary bonus or sales commission.
