GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Technical Staff Consultant provides support to the ChemTreat field sales representatives as needed throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide technical support to ChemTreat sales representatives in product screening and treatment program selections, the application of chosen treatment programs, and in troubleshooting treatment programs to meet the customer’s cost and performance objectives. - Technical Consultants are responsible for actively participating in the technology selection stage the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for products and solutions. - Assist account managers in conducting interviews with client management to gain an understanding of client business conditions, risks, and controls. - Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed. - Interface with clients leads and become a trusted advisor or confidant to the client. - Cultivate successful client relationships. - Available for field sales assistance to include plant surveys, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and customer/prospect entertainment with the involvement of our field sales representatives. - Conduct equipment inspections classified as confined space as defined by OSHA will be required. - Travel throughout the continental U.S. on an average of three days/two nights per week. SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Proficient with ChemTreat portable field equipment. - Provide office support function when not traveling to include telephone assistance, proposal and drawing proofreading, bid preparation, etc., as requested by our office clerical staff. - Assist in field seminars, entertainment outings, and new account startup as directed by your manager. - Provide sales and marketing support for specific industries. - Provide field troubleshooting and technical assistance as required to include problem solving, sales representative on-site training, operator training, and equipment inspections. - Other duties as assigned.
