Role Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our global network infrastructure team. This role manages network operations and security for a cloud service provider with five data centers in the United States. It supports multi-tenant cloud environments, including firewalls, VPNs, and secure connectivity between cloud platforms and customer on-prem networks. What You’ll Do - Firewall and Security Management - Deploy and manage multi-tenant firewalls using Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, and Fortinet - Operate large virtual firewall environments, including 200+ Cisco ASAv instances - Design, configure, and troubleshoot IPSec Site-to-Site and Remote Access VPNs - Support secure VPN connectivity for customers between cloud and on-prem systems - Configure NAT, access control lists (ACLs), security rules, and network segmentation - Data Center Network Operations - Manage daily network operations across multiple data centers - Operate Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks with high-availability designs - Manage core and access switching using Cisco Nexus 9000 and vPC - Maintain inter-data center connectivity using MP-BGP and MPLS L2/L3 VPNs - Manage multiple 10G+ internet links with BGP peering across different ISPs - Support and maintain Cisco ASR, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms - Troubleshoot packet loss, latency, routing, VPN, and L2/L3 issues - Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management - Work with ISPs and MPLS providers for connectivity issues and escalations Qualifications - 10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud, enterprise or service provider networks - Deep experience with firewalls: Cisco ASA, Firepower/FTD, Fortinet FortiGate - Experience with high-end Cisco platforms: ASR, Nexus 9000, Catalyst - Strong knowledge of routing & switching fundamentals and advanced protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, MPLS services - Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with global teams Education & Certifications (Preferred) - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Benefits - Work with cutting-edge enterprise and cloud technologies - Collaborate with global teams and diverse environments - Contribute to high-impact projects with significant technical depth

About This Opportunity Our Network Reliability Engineering team is looking for a team-focused Senior Network Engineer to join our group! This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization that partners with major retail and brand partners in the payment/fintech space. This is a remote US-based position, with a preference to Atlanta, Tampa/St. Pete, and Salt Lake City, but other locations will be considered for the right candidate. Responsibilities - Design, implement, and support complex, multi-data center and cloud-based network environments, including Equinix facilities and Azure. - Create and maintain accurate, detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, standards, and operational procedures. - Contribute to network architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making for routing, switching, and data center initiatives. - Engineer and support advanced routing and switching solutions using OSPF, BGP, and modern data center technologies such as Cisco vPC and VXLAN EVPN. - Support network lifecycle management (LCM) initiatives, including hardware refreshes, IOS upgrades, and technology standardization efforts. - Participate in the evaluation and adoption of future-state technologies, including Cisco ACI and enhanced network visibility platforms. - Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using tools such as SolarWinds, Kentik, and NetScout. - Act as a key technical resource for complex incidents, migrations, and planned changes, collaborating closely with peers and adjacent infrastructure teams. - Support load balancer platforms and migrations, including F5 Big-IP and AVI Networks. - Work with the Network Security Team during planning, troubleshooting, and migration activities involving Palo Alto and Cisco ASA platforms. - Interface with vendors, partners, and service providers to support design validation, issue resolution, and service delivery. - Participate in maintenance windows, upgrades, and on-call rotations as required. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience; typically 7+ years of experience in network engineering or related roles. - Strong hands-on experience supporting enterprise and data center networks in multi-data center and hybrid cloud environments. - Advanced experience with Cisco-based network infrastructures, including routing, switching, vPC, and VXLAN EVPN. - In-depth, practical experience with BGP and OSPF, including design, optimization, and troubleshooting. - Experience with network monitoring and analytics platforms, including SolarWinds and emerging tools such as Kentik. - Strong TCP/IP and packet-level troubleshooting skills, including use of NetScout or similar tools. - Proven ability to work independently on complex technical tasks and projects, while collaborating effectively with peers. - Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with varying priorities in an enterprise environment. - Working knowledge of Firewalls, particularly in troubleshooting, design coordination, and migration planning activities. - Hands-on experience with load balancing technologies, including F5 Big-IP and AVI Networks, a plus. - Experience supporting Cloud networking (i.e. Azure, AWS) in hybrid environments a plus. - Experience with BlueCat DHCP/DNS a plus.
