The position balances strategic leadership with hands‑on project discipline. The role requires tight coordination across Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to turn ambiguous business needs into executable, controlled project plans. Your key duties and responsibilities: - Lead and manage a portfolio of high‑impact projects across the External Manufacturing network, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets. - Drive stakeholder alignment, resolving conflicts, clarifying ownership, and ensuring seamless integration between internal teams and third‑party manufacturers. - Own cross‑functional project planning, facilitating workshops to build complete project packages (charter, scope, timelines, budgets, risks, RACI, comms plans). - Oversee execution of complex transitions, such as outsourcing/insourcing, supplier transfers, and new product introductions with external partners. - Run structured governance routines to surface risks, escalations, and decision needs. - Identify cost‑out opportunities across suppliers and lead initiatives in automation, productivity improvement, and value engineering. - Coordinate with cross-functional partners to align project decisions with business strategy and operational realities. - Ensure risk management discipline, maintaining risk registers, mitigation plans, and scenario‑based recovery strategies. - Act as the primary liaison to senior leadership, providing crisp updates, data‑driven recommendations, and escalation pathways. - Support external manufacturing governance, including readiness checks, change management, and supplier‑driven project oversight. - Champion standard work and project management best practices, reinforcing documentation quality, reporting standards, and PM discipline across the network. Although the candidate will be close to our Ohio Offices (Toledo, McClure, Hilliard and Defiance) is preferred, we are very flexible with remote work arrangements. Flexibility is required for heavy travel to the office or client sites, as needed. The ideal candidate will thrive as a vital part of a resourceful and collaborative water practice team, working across projects, markets, and offices. This position will mainly serve as project manager, design / treatment consultant, and client contact for projects in our Industrial and Commercial Water and Wastewater Division. You will lead and manage a multi-discipline team for projects that include industrial water and drinking water treatment systems, wastewater treatment, water reuse, system integration, permitting, and client specific projects.
