Position Description EIP is seeking a highly motivated Outreach Representative to support our client, in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania market. In this role, you will support customer recruitment and engagement efforts to increase participation in non-residential energy efficiency programs, working in close collaboration with CLEAResult as the prime contractor. The Outreach Representative will play an important role in building awareness of program offerings and developing relationships with commercial and industrial customers, trade allies, community organizations, and other market stakeholders. This position will support participation in offerings such as strategic energy management, building optimization, and other existing-building energy efficiency services through direct outreach, events, follow-up activities, and ongoing relationship management. The Outreach Representative reports to EIP program leadership and works closely with account managers, engineers, and other program staff to help move customers into the program pipeline and support a strong customer experience throughout the outreach and enrollment process. Objectives of this Role · Customer Recruitment: Support recruitment of commercial and industrial customers to receive PECO program services by identifying prospects, conducting outreach, and generating qualified leads. · Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain productive relationships with customers, trade allies, community organizations, and other local stakeholders that can support program participation. · Program Promotion: Increase awareness of PECO energy efficiency offerings through direct outreach, meetings, events, presentations, and coordinated outreach campaigns. · Pipeline Support: Help maintain an active outreach pipeline by tracking leads, follow-up actions, referrals, and customer status. · Customer Education: Communicate program offerings, eligibility requirements, and customer benefits clearly and consistently to support participation. · Cross-Team Coordination: Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customers are transitioned effectively from outreach into program support and service delivery. · Performance Improvement: Use outreach activity data, customer feedback, and market observations to strengthen engagement strategies and improve results Daily and Monthly Responsibilities · Conduct Customer Outreach: Perform outreach to commercial and industrial customers through calls, emails, meetings, site visits, presentations, and event participation to promote PECO program services. · Generate and Track Leads: Identify prospects, track outreach activity, manage follow-up actions, and help maintain an organized recruitment pipeline. · Build Market Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with trade allies, contractors, distributors, community organizations, and other local stakeholders to support customer recruitment and program visibility. · Support Outreach Campaigns: Assist in implementing outreach campaigns, target lists, customer segmentation efforts, and engagement plans based on program goals and market opportunities. · Participate in Events and Education: Organize and participate in workshops, webinars, lunch-and-learns, conferences, and other outreach activities designed to educate customers and promote participation. · Communicate Program Information: Explain program offerings, customer benefits, eligibility criteria, and next steps clearly and professionally across outreach channels. · Maintain CRM and Records: Document outreach activities, customer interactions, referrals, and participation status accurately and consistently in CRM and other tracking systems. · Gather Customer and Market Feedback: Collect information from customers, trade allies, and partners regarding barriers, interests, and market conditions to support continuous improvement. · Coordinate with Program Staff: Work closely with account managers, engineers, and other program staff to ensure customers are transitioned effectively from outreach into program support and delivery. · Report on Activity: Provide updates on outreach activity, lead generation, stakeholder engagement, and pipeline progress to program leadership. Required Qualifications · Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, environmental studies, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. · Relevant Experience: At least 2 years of experience in outreach, customer engagement, account support, business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in energy efficiency, utilities, clean energy, or a related sector. · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain program offerings and customer benefits clearly and persuasively. · Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, community organizations, and other stakeholders. · Organization and Follow-Through: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow through consistently on outreach opportunities. · Technology Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems or other outreach tracking platforms. · Mission Alignment: Commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and delivering high-quality service in support of equitable clean energy outcomes. Preferred Qualifications · Utility Program Experience: Familiarity with utility-sponsored energy efficiency or demand-side management programs, especially those serving commercial and industrial customers. · Trade Ally Engagement: Experience working with contractors, vendors, distributors, or trade ally networks in support of program delivery or business development. · Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Philadelphia and broader Pennsylvania market, including regional stakeholders and customer segments. · Campaign and Event Experience: Experience supporting outreach campaigns, educational events, and stakeholder engagement activities. · Data and Reporting Skills: Experience using CRM systems, dashboards, and reporting tools to track outreach performance and participation outcomes. · Field-Based Outreach Experience: Experience in customer-facing, community-facing, or field-based outreach roles that require in-person engagement and relationship development.
