About the team The FinEng team is dedicated to building and optimizing Airwallex financial systems and processes through innovative technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration and support for our global corporate financial operations. We work closely with Finance, Operations, and Corporate IT across the business to support the systems that run our business. What you'll do We are seeking a Finance Systems Technical Program Manager to manage the implementation and optimization of our finance systems. Responsible for prioritizing and project managing all IT finance-related systems projects, this role will be critical in ensuring that our finance systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. This role is based in Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne. Responsibilities: - Project Management: Develop and prioritize project plans, establish clear accountability for project tasks, monitor project timelines and adjust plans as necessary to meet evolving requirements - System Implementation and Optimization: Oversee the implementation of new finance systems, enhancements to existing systems, and system integration, ensuring they meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance, IT, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business goals. - Technical Leadership: Provide technical suggestions and expertise in finance systems architecture, integration, and data management. - Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes. - Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they deliver quality solutions and services. - Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, user experience, and process efficiency. - Reporting and Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, project plans, and post-implementation reviews. Who you are We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory. Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Proven experience in project management with a focus on finance systems implementation and optimization. - Strong technical knowledge of ERP systems and integration technologies. - Strong understanding of finance and procurement processes and requirements. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system issues. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. - Strong time management skills - able to move fast with limited data and context - Strong understanding of business processes - finance and tax requirements in multiple jurisdictions a bonus - Experience working in a complex international business with China and international exposure - Ability to identify and address challenges proactively - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to debate and discuss outcomes, flagging risks and problems early to varying stakeholders. - Strong ability to manage through influence, building relationships with key people and able to influence decisions to achieve the right outcomes Preferred qualifications: - A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CFA) is a plus. - Project management tool experience like JIRA, Trello, Asana, etc. Applicant Safety Policy: Fraud and Third-Party Recruiters To protect you from recruitment scams, please be aware that Airwallex will not ask for bank details, sensitive ID numbers (i.e. passport), or any form of payment during the application or interview process.
