Data Science Engineer

Avenga

• Support the development of AI/ML solutions, including NLP and Generative AI use cases • Contribute to building systems such as chatbots, voice bots, and RAG-based solutions • Assist in developing predictive models using historical data and machine learning techniques • Help evaluate and compare model performance using appropriate metrics • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to deploy models into production environments • Participate in building proof-of-concepts and transforming them into scalable solutions • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions

Job Requirements

  • Degree in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
  • Initial professional experience or strong academic background in Data Science / AI
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and data science concepts
  • Basic hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLMs
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and Git
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost or similar)
  • Understanding of different ML approaches (e.g. regression, tree-based models, deep learning)
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and challenge existing approaches
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with NLP use cases (chatbots, text processing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with RAG systems or working with LLM-based pipelines
  • Knowledge of Docker, Airflow, MLflow or CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to AWS or on-premise deployments
  • Interest or experience in telecom domain
  • Experience with text-to-image or multimodal models
