Description and Requirements Position: AVP, ERP Workday Implementation Lead Location: Tampa, FL Setting : Hybrid Reports to: VP, Finance ERP Leader Travel : 10-15% The Opportunity This is an integral leadership role within MetLife's Finance and Risk Management (FRM) Technology organization. It is an exciting time to be part of FRM as we continue to modernize and transform while continually being focused on our talent and culture. This role is accountable for executing the technological aspects of the ERP transformation in close collaboration with business leaders, while partnering with Enterprise Architecture and other teams. The role will be building, leading and developing the global delivery model, offshore technology team in MGCC, working with system integrator partners, and will be responsible for a successful transition from PeopleSoft to Workday, with ERP data and analytics enablement. This role requires strong execution discipline, business acumen, and the ability to translate business transformation objectives into reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions. Key Responsibilities: Business Partnership & Collaboration - Serve as the primary technology partner to business leaders, ensuring close alignment between business process transformation and technology execution. - Enable informed decision-making by clearly articulating technological impacts, trade-offs, risks, and dependencies to business and executive stakeholders. - Establish MGCC hub to set up the project teams enable and foster strong collaboration between technology teams, business process owners, and transformation leadership Enterprise Architecture & Platform Alignment - Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure adherence to enterprise standards, integration patterns, security frameworks, and approved target-state architecture. - Participate in architectural reviews, design validations, and exception processes as required. - Ensure Workday implementation aligns with MetLife's enterprise cloud, data, and integration strategies Legacy Transition & Data Enablement - Lead the technology transition from PeopleSoft to Workday, including coexistence, data conversion, and decommissioning planning. - Own ERP data migration strategy, ensuring data quality, reconciliation, auditability, and regulatory compliance. - Collaborate with data and analytics teams to enable ERP data ingestion and analytics using Databricks. Required Qualifications: - A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; master's preferred. - 15+ years of technology leadership experience, including large-scale ERP implementations. - Proven experience delivering Workday ERP implementations in complex, global organizations. - Strong experience transitioning from PeopleSoft to Workday or similar legacy ERP platforms. - Demonstrated success managing large offshore and global delivery teams. - Experience working in regulated environments such as insurance or financial services. - Experience developing and supporting mission-critical applications optimized to run in the cloud or virtualized environments. - Exceptional leadership skills with ability to create and retain diverse teams of technical professionals driven by a clear understanding of organizational goals and individual purpose in their achievement. - Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with all stakeholders. - A keen desire to provide ongoing transparency to stakeholders and foster an environment of trust and confidence. - Driven to the advancement of employee satisfaction and career development by demonstrating a clear interest in them and their success. - The ability to negotiate, influence and reach a compromise. - Demonstrated desire to retain currency in related business and technology disciplines by ongoing education, networking, and certifications where applicable. Technical Skills - Application development and delivery in diverse technology platforms including Java, .NET, COTS platforms, and others - Cloud / Data / DevSecOps / AI domain expertise - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) - Microsoft Azure stack, GitHub CoPilot, OpenAI or equivalent, Azure DevOps, API - Preferably certified in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or equivalent at minimal. - SAFE or any Agile/Scrum certification is a plus Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is 164,200 - 218,900. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives.
