Position Location This is a Remote role. The icoming hire may work from any U.S. based location. Occasional travel up to 10% may be required. Job Overview The HR Analyst plays a critical role in supporting a data-driven and technology-enabled Human Resources function. This position is responsible for HR reporting and analytics, HRIS administration, system support, and data integrity across HR platforms. The HR Analyst partners closely with HR leadership, HR functional teams, Finance, Payroll, IT, and external vendors to deliver accurate reporting, actionable insights, and reliable HR system operations. This role also supports HR technology initiatives, system enhancements, and ongoing process improvements. Responsibilities Essential Duties: Reporting & Analytics - Collect, validate, and maintain workforce data related to headcount, turnover, compensation, performance, DEIB, and engagement. - Develop, enhance, and automate dashboards and recurring reports for internal and external stakeholders. - Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support workforce planning, attrition analysis, and hiring effectiveness. - Translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights, summaries, and recommendations. - Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of HR data across systems and reporting outputs. - Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact workforce and talent strategies. HRIS & Systems Management - Administer and support HR systems, including HRIS, ATS, performance management, compensation, and related platforms. - Manage employee transactions, absences, compensation workflows, and mass data updates within HR systems. - Serve as an escalation point for system issues, researching, troubleshooting, and coordinating resolution. - Assist with HR system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing cycles, and integrations. - Assist with the maintenance of system tables, codes, security access, data mappings, and configuration elements. - Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure system hygiene, compliance, and data accuracy. - Provide clear communication to users regarding system changes, updates, and outages. HR Operations & User Support - Provide day-to-day support to HR staff and end users, including guidance, training, and documentation. - Administer HR ticketing systems, ensuring proper routing, tracking, escalation, and reporting. - Assist with maintaining HR system processes such as onboarding workflows, performance cycles, and benefits enrollment. - Maintain HR/Employee communication portals to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and relevance. - Assist with development of procedures, job aids, and best practices for system users. Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership - Partner with other members of HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and Digital Solutions to ensure alignment and data consistency. - Coordinate with external vendors on system issues, enhancements, upgrades, and support requests. - Contribute to building a data-driven HR culture through education, collaboration, and effective communication. - Provide regular status updates on initiatives and system-related work. Job Requirements Mandatory: - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, or another related field. (Experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.) - Three (3) years of Human Resources experience exhibiting a broad understanding of HR processes and procedures. - Three to five (3-5) years of experience in HR analytics, HRIS administration, HR operations, or related analytical roles. - Experience maintaining, configuring or implementing HRIS platforms (e.g., Dayforce, Oracle Cloud HCM, Workday, SAP, or similar). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex data. - Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; experience with data visualization tools preferred. - Working knowledge of a wide variety of HR concepts, policies, practices and procedures, including HR terms and data management issues. - Strong communication skills with the ability to support users with varying levels of technical expertise. - High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: - Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP). - Experience supporting HR system implementations or upgrades. - Experience with SQL, data querying, or advanced reporting tools. - Experience in a multi-location, regulated, government-contracting environment or Alaska Native Corporation (ANCs). - Prior helpdesk or ticketing system experience. The FMO is responsible for financial management for the federal Judiciary, including accounting, reporting, and investments. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Department of Administrative Services, Financial Management Office (FMO), Financial Policy, Travel, and Training Staff (FPTTS) is seeking an experienced Management Analyst (Policy) to join its team. This position reports to the FPTTS Chief.
