• Prepare calculations relating to storm water drainage, sanitary sewer systems and disposal fields, and earthwork, to support design and permitting. • Prepare technical specifications to define construction requirements. • Prepare site layout, grading, and drainage designs. • Design storm sewer systems, roads, trackwork, water storage and wastewater disposal ponds, and solid waste landfills. • Work with Designers to accurately portray designs in 3-D models and design drawings. • Review shop drawings and other vendor documentation for conformity with specifications. • Travel to client offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.

• Lead civil engineering scope development for utility-scale solar, BESS, and substation projects from early development through construction completion. • Serve as technical authority for site grading, drainage, hydrology, foundations, roads, fencing, equipment pads, and underground utilities. • Review and approve civil engineering design packages, calculations, and reports for code compliance, constructability, and value optimization. • Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) as required and oversee delegated engineering responsibilities. • Provide alternative engineering solutions and value-engineering recommendations to reduce cost, schedule risk, and construction complexity. • Interface directly with civil, geotechnical, and structural subconsultants to ensure design intent and EPC requirements are met. • Support preliminary site layouts, site constraints mapping, and buildable area assessments. • Assist estimating teams with civil assumptions, allowances, and risk identification. • Develop and refine civil engineering scopes of work aligned with EPC contracts. • Support EPC contract review, negotiations, and clarifications related to civil scope, risk allocation, and constructability. • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and verify conformance with design documents. • Review topographic surveys, grading plans, drainage features, and post/foundation elevations to ensure alignment with design intent. • Lead, mentor, and develop civil engineers, designers, and technical staff. • Plan and allocate engineering resources across multiple active projects. • Provide technical coaching, performance feedback, and career development guidance. • Coordinate workload forecasting, staffing needs, and engineering budgets with leadership. • Serve as primary civil engineering point of contact for internal stakeholders, clients, AHJs, and regulatory agencies. • Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and project leadership meetings. • Communicate risks, design challenges, and mitigation strategies to project leadership.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee construction job sites throughout the United States. We have openings across all geographic areas within the continental US with emphasis on the Southeast Region. Salary Range- 100k to 130K Pending Experience In this role, you will lead construction projects of small- to large-scale environmental, heavy civil projects throughout the United States. This position would support the following types of projects: Heavy civil, demolition, remediation, dredging/waterway, and general contracting. You will ensure deadlines and quality control measures are met, evaluate project work in accordance with a predetermined timeline and budget and align with the strategic goals of the organization and scope of the project. This role will be required to work remote on project sites with rotations home on a regular basis. Candidate can be located anywhere in the USA.
