THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE: The Senior Manager, Agentic Commerce Strategy & Prisma Ventures leads long-term strategic positioning for Ulta Beauty in the emerging agent-driven commerce ecosystem. This role owns ecosystem intelligence, commercial model development, and multi-year capability strategy that informs how Ulta competes and wins in AI-native commerce environments. This leader translates rapid shifts across AI platforms, agents, protocols, and ecosystem partnerships into clear strategic choices that shape Ulta’s investment priorities, partnership strategy, and long-term competitive positioning. The role works closely with the Head of Agentic Commerce, Product, GTM, and Finance to ensure Ulta’s agentic commerce roadmap aligns with revenue growth, margin resilience, and ecosystem leverage. This position also leads Prisma Ventures to evaluate venture opportunities, ecosystem partnerships, and strategic investments that strengthen Ulta’s position in the next generation of digital commerce. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Ecosystem Intelligence & Competitive Landscape: - Own the enterprise Agentic Commerce intelligence function, translating platform, protocol, and ecosystem developments into strategic implications for Ulta. - Track emerging AI platforms, agent ecosystems, protocols, and commerce standards - Analyze competitive moves across retailers, brands, and platforms in AI-driven commerce - Translate ecosystem shifts into revenue, margin, and control implications - Identify strategic risks and opportunities created by agent-native commerce models - Deliver executive-level insights that inform where Ulta must win in the evolving ecosystem Future Commercial Models & Monetization - Design and pressure-test AI-native revenue models before commercial activation. - Develop and evaluate emerging monetization constructs including agent commissions, AI search ads, agent partnerships, and ecosystem participation models - Assess economic viability of new agent-driven commerce flows and business models - Model financial implications of assistant-native checkout, agent referrals, and offsite transactions - Partner with Finance and GTM to evaluate revenue potential and margin impact - Ensure commercial constructs maximize long-term ecosystem leverage and defensibility. Strategic Roadmap & Capability Planning - Collaborate cross functionally to define the multi-year Agentic Commerce capability roadmap that informs enterprise investment decisions. - Identify critical capabilities required to compete in agent-driven commerce environments - Define sequencing of capabilities tied to revenue unlock milestones in collaboration with Agentic Commerce business teams - Partner with Product, Technology, and GTM teams to ensure roadmap alignment with delivery plans - Establish investment priorities and capability maturity targets Executive Foresight & Competitive Positioning - Shape Ulta’s long-term competitive strategy in the agent-first economy - Define where Ulta must win across AI commerce ecosystems - Translate complex ecosystem dynamics into clear executive decision frameworks - Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on AI commerce opportunities and risks - Support executive narratives and investment cases related to Agentic Commerce initiatives - Position Ulta to lead in emerging agent-driven retail environments Strategic Partnerships & Venture (Prisma Ventures) - Establish Ulta’s agentic partnership thesis and venture lens - Identify emerging startups, platforms, and technologies shaping the agentic commerce ecosystem - Evaluate opportunities to integrate, experiment, partner, or invest - Partner with Prisma Ventures to assess strategic investments aligned with Ulta’s commerce roadmap - Inform ecosystem partnership strategy across AI platforms and technology providers - Participate of Board meeting of portfolio companies and manage and maintain Operations of the fund YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THIS BY: - 8+ years of experience in strategy, digital commerce, venture investing, emerging technology strategy, or innovation within a scaled enterprise or consulting environment. - Experience in analyzing emerging technology ecosystems and translating market shifts into strategic investment or capability decisions. - Strong understanding of AI platforms, generative AI, intelligent agents, and evolving digital commerce models. - Experience evaluating new revenue models, platform ecosystems, or technology partnerships. - Ability to synthesize complex technology and market dynamics into clear executive-level insights and strategic recommendations. - Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to assess revenue potential, margin implications, and long-term economic models. - Demonstrated experience influencing senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. - Strategic mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguous and rapidly evolving markets. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong executive storytelling capability. - Experience collaborating with venture teams, innovation groups, or startup ecosystems preferred. - Experience in retail, consumer technology, or digital marketplaces preferred. - Background in omnichannel retail and beauty strongly preferred. - Executive-level communication skills with strong stakeholder management and influence capabilities. - Ability to operate with urgency and ownership in a fast-paced, evolving technology landscape. - Strategic mindset with bias for action, governance discipline, and continuous improvement.
