• Demonstrate leadership by providing performance coaching and technical mentorship to Testing Engineers. • Drive effective resource allocation to ensure program deadlines are met across multiple concurrent testing initiatives. • Cultivate a team culture grounded in innovation, accountability, and a commitment to safety. • Review, evaluate, and authorize test strategies, methodologies, and technical reports to ensure quality expectations and accuracy is maintained throughout. • Execute tests in strict accordance with established procedures and standards. • Oversee post-test evaluations of materials, tools, and components, ensuring accurate documentation, traceability, and technical integrity. • Develop, validate, and optimize CAM programs to support intricate test setups, tooling configurations, and customer-specific technical requirements. • Perform detailed post-test inspections utilizing advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs, 3D tool scanners, and hardness testers. • Interpret complex datasets and identify engineering trends or anomalies to guide product design, process improvements, and cross-functional decision-making. • Prepare comprehensive, technical reports that communicate findings, analytical methods, and recommendations. • Oversee all aspects of lab operations, including equipment maintenance, tooling and fixturing procurement, and test scheduling. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing procedures, lab organization, and safety compliance to develop and refine testing procedures as needed. • Demonstrate ongoing industry engagement in tooling and machining technology best practices and trends through professional study, field visits, tradeshows, and literature review.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field; advanced degree preferred
- 7+ years of experience in reliability engineering preferably in tooling, precision components or manufacturing environments
- Strong background in CAM programming (MasterCAM, NX) and CNC operations.
- Familiarity with tool grinding and related CAM platforms (ToolStudio, VGPro) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex testing programs and manage multiple high-impact testing initiatives with exceptional attention to detail.
