Job Overview: The Senior Proposal Writer is responsible for reviewing proposal projects as assigned and developing proposal project plans. The ideal candidate will specialize in government, enterprise, and highly complex proposal bids and can manage multiple complex proposals with tight deadlines. The Senior Proposal Writer is responsible for selecting the team members and subject matter experts (SMEs) who need to attend and scheduling the RFP Kick-Off call. They will assign items to the appropriate SMEs as needed per proposal project and coordinate with the SMEs for receipt of responses. Once received, the Senior Writer will populate the responses, finalize the draft, and distribute to team members for review. The Senior Writer will then update the responses, finalize the proposal for submittal, and make updates to the content library. The selected candidate will be required to become a member of the APMP, or another organization dedicated to proposal management professionals, and attend at least one virtual meeting per month. Additionally, they will incorporate proposal industry best practices and standards into their projects. The Gig: - Develop proposal project plans for prospective client opportunities - Schedule RFP Kick-Off Meetings - Distribute information to SMEs - Coordinate with Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, and Strategic Sales Advisors regarding pricing - Populate proposal responses & incorporate Klue - Finalize draft and distribute for review, incorporate feedback and make edits - Update content library - Become a Member of Association of Proposal Management Professionals What you need to make the cut: - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferred - 5+ years of experience with proposal writing - Prior experience within the benefits or healthcare industry is ideal - Ability to manage deadlines - Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel - Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail The base pay range for this position is $70K to $100K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, balanced against internal equity and competitive market based geographic ranges) with the ability to over-achieve on quota.
