Learn more at www.stradaglobal.com The Role As a Payroll Tax Filing Analyst, you will support the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of payroll tax operations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This is a 3-month temporary position hired through our 3rd party recruiting partner. Contract roles have the potential to move to full time depending on business need and overall personal performance. Depending on business needs and your experience, you may be aligned to one or more of the following functional areas: 1. Tax Filing (Core / Bulk Filing) - Execute high-volume payroll tax filings across multiple jurisdictions - Validate and reconcile tax data prior to submission - Identify discrepancies and partner with internal teams to resolve issues - Support client delivery through status updates and reporting 2. Amended Returns - Analyze previously filed returns to identify discrepancies - Prepare and validate amended returns (941-X, state/local corrections) - Reconcile payroll, filing, and funding data across systems - Support remediation efforts to reduce penalties and interest 3. Tax Notice Resolution - Research and resolve payroll tax notices from tax agencies - Prepare responses and supporting documentation - Perform root cause analysis and track resolution trends - Partner cross-functionally to prevent recurring issues 4. Money Movement (Tax Funding) - Execute payroll tax deposits via ACH, EFT, wire, and check - Reconcile funding accounts and validate tax liabilities - Investigate rejected payments and funding discrepancies - Ensure compliance with strict deposit deadlines and controls 5. Canadian Tax Filing (Specialized) - Manage tax filings and remittances with agencies such as CRA and Revenu Québec - Support year-end processing and amended filings - Handle client escalations and complex tax scenarios - Act as SME on Canadian payroll tax requirements 6.
