Senior Workday Financials Consultant, 6-months 1099 contract

• System Design & Configuration: Lead design sessions to define the Foundation Data Model (FDM) and configure business processes, account posting rules, and security assignments. • Data Migration & Mapping: Oversee the extraction, cleansing, and mapping of legacy financial data into Workday, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness. • Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive test scripts and participate in and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate financial controls, purge logic, and reporting accuracy. • Reporting & Analytics: Design advanced financial reports and dashboards (Balance Sheet, P&L, etc.) using Workday Report Writer and Composite Reports. • Knowledge Transfer & SME Development: Design and execute a "train-the-trainer" program to develop a network of internal, cross-functional Workday SMEs capable of sustained support post-go-live. • Training & Change Management: Create comprehensive, role-specific training manuals, job aids, and documentation. • Post-Go-Live Support: Provide expert troubleshooting for system issues during the initial stabilization period and manage service update evaluations.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is highly preferred
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials and at least one full lifecycle implementation
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FDM architecture , and Workday modules such as Record to Report (R2R) and Procure to Pay (P2P)
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and the capacity to drive consensus and manage change effectively among cross-functional teams.
