Insurance Specialist – Credit Resolution
Meduit | Driving Revenue Cycle Performance
• Review accounts for credit balances and denials, determine root cause, and take appropriate corrective action (refund, adjustment, rebill, or appeal) • Review and resolve credit balances across all payers, with priority on regulatory accounts (e.g., Medicare credit balance reporting) • Submit timely, accurate appeals and process credit resolutions in alignment with payer and regulatory guidelines (including Medicare credit balance requirements) • Ensure all account activity supports forward movement toward resolution with a one-touch mindset • Maintain thorough, audit-ready documentation and accurate account notes • Meet established productivity (APH) and quality standards while prioritizing high-risk, high-dollar, and timely filing accounts • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and prevent recurrence • Identify trends and escalate systemic issues, providing feedback for process improvement • Initiate and track refunds, adjustments, and reapplications accurately and timely
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hands-on denials and credit resolution, with a proven ability to recover revenue from complex insurance denials and credits
- 2+ years Medical Billing/Follow-up experience
- Rural Health Clinic and Critical Access Healthcare experience
- Proficiency with PC-based applications (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Download speed of 30MB or higher & upload speed of 10MB or higher are REQUIRED.

Role Description The Director of P&C is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing commercial insurance operations for the Self-Storage, RV & Campground, and Marina industries. You will lead a high-performing team to manage complex risk portfolios, leveraging Applied Epic and Salesforce as the system of record to drive operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. This role bridges the gap between traditional risk management and Storable’s industry-leading technology platform. Responsible for growing a portfolio of accounts and managing a sales and operations team. Key Responsibilities - Sales: Maintain client relationships and coordinate with sales and account management teams. - Specialized Portfolio Management: Manage insurance programs tailored to the specific industries tied to the Storable technology platform. - Carrier & Broker Relations: Lead negotiations for high-value renewals and program expansions with top-rated P&C carriers, focusing on competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage for Storage, RV parks & Campground, and Marina operators. - Risk Mitigation & Loss Control: Develop and implement targeted loss control strategies specifically for storage facilities, RV parks & campgrounds, and Marina’s (e.g., fire, flood, and theft prevention). - Review contracts & agreements: Understand from a risk management perspective and advise customers on insurance requirements, indemnification, subrogation, hold harmless and awareness/assumption of risk, and identify any loss prevention recommendations to be established. - Operational Advocacy: Act as a senior advocate for clients during complex claims; coordinate with legal and IT teams to integrate insurance workflows into the Storable technology ecosystem. - Strategic System Leadership: Oversee the optimization of Applied Epic for all P&C operations, ensuring accurate real-time data for policy administration, renewals, and claims. - Program Design & Launch: Conceptualization, structural design, and implementation of new proprietary insurance programs and alternative risk transfer solutions. - Captive Oversight: Manage the operational and financial performance of captive entities, including coordination with captive managers, actuaries. Qualifications - 7–10+ years of P&C insurance experience with a heavy focus on Commercial Lines and Property Portfolios; Prior experience in a leadership role for a commercial insurance agency is desirable. - Competency in risk mitigation, safety, and loss control for commercial insurance customers. - Undergraduate degree or equivalent required. - Expert-level proficiency in Applied Epic is mandatory, including experience in workflow automation and reporting. - Commercial Insurance Lines knowledge for various industries. - Active P&C Producer License required. - Knowledge of fundamental risk management and loss control practices. - Knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, and insurance operations. - Understanding of property, liability, and workers’ compensation claims management processes. - Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Professionalism, quality, accuracy, and customer service oriented. - Ability to leverage Applied Epic data to identify book performance trends and underperforming segments. - Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial renewals and carrier relationships. - Experience leading cross-functional teams (Sales, IT, and Underwriting) in a fast-paced technology-driven environment. - Ability to develop and deliver high level informative and professional presentations to small and large groups.
