Senior Site Reliability Engineer - .NET JOB SUMMARY: As a core member of our Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQ) team, you will support and maintain applications and infrastructure related to our critical recordkeeping and client-facing applications that support our important customers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure and ensure applications are running as expected and optimized for cost and performance. In this rapid-paced environment, you must possess a "can-do" attitude while demonstrating a strong work ethic. You will leverage your technical skills in a variety of ways to fix issues, upgrade system components, increase observability, improve system performance, etc. using a variety of tools, methods, & frameworks. You should enjoy solving complex problems and working independently, as well as, with our IT team and business partners. You will also have the rewarding opportunity to provide your leadership, guidance, and expertise to less experienced team members to help them build and develop their technical skills and business knowledge. In addition, you will be able to provide your input and expertise on designing and architecting new projects, infrastructure, and systems. REQUIREMENTS: - 4-7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (or equivalent), with a track record of operating large-scale production systems - 3+ years developing solutions involving the following technologies: C#, VB.NET, Web API, MVC, Oracle or other SQL, .NET Core, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. - Experience with the following technologies: Web API (JSON/XML), RESTful architectures, AWS API Gateway, Python and Lambda. - 3+ years of strong SQL knowledge on Oracle or other databases including writing stored procedures/views/functions, optimizing, and debugging SQL. - Deep expertise in AWS, with hands-on experience across a broad range of services and architectural patterns - Multiple years of experience with Windows and IIS configurations and setup, as well as remediating server and application vulnerabilities. - Excellent experience in modern deployment models using Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent experience with scheduling tools, like Autosys. - Ability to review and assess existing infrastructure to provide suggestions and guidance to optimize performance, scalability and costs. - Experience with AppDynamics, DataDog, Splunk, CloudWatch and other similar tools a must. - Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments with ability to design applications. - Expertise with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Cloudformation. - Good experience of modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the agile methodology. - Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during release deployments, patching, etc. - Collaborate with development teams to support releases and create highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable services. - Proven ability to lead complex incident responses and conduct thorough postmortems - Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure design patterns - Experience mentoring engineers and conducting technical training - Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. - Detail oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills to multitask and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. EDUCATION: - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering) OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) - Familiar with DevOps principles and practices. - Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization - Comfortable with Linux, UNIX, or Windows based OS. - Preferred work experience using JIRA in Agile or related development methodologies. - Delivers internal and external customer service excellence. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: - Key team members are spread out across the United States, so hours may extend from day to day. - Occasionally, support may be required outside the normal M-F schedule.
