About the Role Supernova Lending is seeking an experienced Senior Wealth Management Lending Specialist to drive external business development and expand our Securities-Based Lending (SBL) footprint across the wealth management advisor community. This senior-level, outward-facing role combines relationship development with advisor education and thought leadership. The Senior Specialist will serve as both a strategic partner and trusted educator, demonstrating how SBL fits within holistic wealth management to help advisors deliver comprehensive financial solutions to their high-net-worth clients. Responsibilities - External Business Development & Relationship Building - - Identify and cultivate strategic relationships with financial advisors, RIAs, independent broker-dealers, and wealth management firms across assigned territory - Build and execute relationship-based territory plans to achieve lending targets, including new advisor partnerships, loan volume, and revenue goals - Leverage industry networks, referral partnerships, and conference participation to generate qualified opportunities and establish credibility in the market - Serve as the go-to resource for advisors on complex SBL scenarios, tax implications, estate planning strategies, and use case applications across different client situations - Articulate how SBL complements comprehensive financial planning including retirement income strategies, charitable giving, business succession, real estate transactions, and portfolio rebalancing - Stay current on competitive offerings from major wirehouses and independent platforms, clearly articulating Supernova's differentiation and competitive advantages - Provide market feedback to product development and leadership teams regarding advisor needs, emerging trends, competitive gaps, and platform enhancement opportunities - Performance Management & Reporting - - Own achievement of quarterly and annual business development targets including new advisor partnerships, loan origination volume, funded balances, and revenue generation - Maintain accurate CRM records with detailed opportunity tracking, activity logging, and relationship management documentation - Provide regular business updates to leadership including territory performance, market intelligence, competitive dynamics, and strategic recommendations - Analyze territory metrics to identify trends, optimize coverage strategy, and maximize return on relationship development activities - Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to develop targeted educational campaigns and thought leadership initiatives that support territory growth objectives Qualifications - Required - - 7-10+ years of experience in external sales, business development, or relationship management within wealth management, private banking, or financial services - Proven track record of success in consultative, relationship-driven sales with documented achievement of revenue and volume targets - Deep expertise in securities-based lending, including loan mechanics, collateral analysis, margin requirements, risk management, and competitive landscape - Established network of relationships within the wealth management advisor community (RIAs, independent broker-dealers, wirehouses, or private banks) - You will take ownership of supplier engagement, including the simultaneous management of multiple buyer-initiated Requests for Quotes (RFQs). You’re energized by applying your expertise in chemicals, conducting in-depth supply market assessments, and confidently engaging with suppliers across the globe. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry. - Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or natural science. - 5+ years of experience in sourcing, technical sales, business development, partnership, or management consulting. - Demonstrated ability to conduct supply market assessments and identify suppliers for specific chemicals/raw materials. - Extensive knowledge of chemicals/raw materials and relevant technical expertise in reviewing RFQs (TDS, SDS, COA, etc.). - Ability to identify alternate or offset materials by reviewing technical documentation and product chemistry. - Experience in establishing and managing strong supplier relationships. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with suppliers. - Capable of creating structured plans, tracking steps, and managing multiple priorities effectively.
