VA Claims Clerk

• Learning the VA practice area and working in the firm’s various systems, databases, and applications • Receiving, screening, and processing inbound & outbound documents/files, along with ensuring the documents are efficiently and accurately associated with the correct client files • Re-naming documents, and uploading to the appropriate location in the firm's case management software • Update the firm's case management files with all client conversations, pertinent correspondence, and information • Assist the VA Teams by researching information and downloading documents from various sources • Respond to client phone calls and portal messages in a timely manner • Assist VA Disability team members with tasks and client communications when they are on vacation or unavailable • Assist with the training of new VA Claims Clerks and other team members.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of working in a professional/office environment
- High School Diploma
- High proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to type 30 wpm
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat required
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work swiftly while managing time and remaining organized
- Positive attitude and excellent work ethic
- Experience with veterans issues or knowledge regarding the VA is preferred.
