Content Specialist, Video Production

Role Description Bring a strong perspective on what makes video content hook viewers, including scripting techniques, editing and pacing strategies, and visual structure. - Support the development of video content for Study.com and marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on optimizing for YouTube & TikTok engagement and discoverability. - Onboard, manage, and support a group of freelance video creators and video editors to ensure high-quality and efficient video creation. - Track production rates, identify project bottlenecks, and resolve blockers to meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals. - Write, edit, and update standard operating practices to ensure operational efficiency across video projects. - Analyze video performance and incorporate insights to iterate on scripting/editing to increase social engagement rate, including formats inspired by successful content outside of traditional educational content (e.g., listicles, explainers, visual essays, "study with me"). - Provide ongoing feedback, direction, and performance analysis to support content strategy. - Leverage performance data to identify effective video formats, and iteratively refine our strategy through insight-driven ideation. - Use AI and tech tools to streamline production (Claude desktop, Langflow, etc.) and improve video quality with video first AI tools (HeyGen, Elevenlabs, etc.). Qualifications - Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to track multiple content production streams, manage freelancer relationships, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. - 2–3 years of video production experience with a strong understanding of project management, social media marketing, and the YouTube and TikTok ecosystem. - A portfolio of social media videos produced or YouTube/TikTok channels they have managed or contributed to. - Experienced in creating video titles according to SEO best practices, scripting, storyboarding, producing videos, and collaborating with editors. - Data-savvy and comfortable making recommendations based on performance insights to improve video engagement and viewer retention. - Skilled in sourcing and guiding freelance video content creators and editors to produce engaging, platform-optimized content. Requirements - The contractor will be expected to work PST business hours. - They will need to use their own computer and have reliable access to high-speed internet.
