Title: Event Set Up Staff Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico Job Description: Part time job requisition id R100121506 Job Title: Event Setup Staff Department: Operation Reports To: Operation Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary Legendas Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Part-time Event Setup Staff for the Coca-Cola Music Hall. This position primary focus is event set-up and tear down and maintenance services as needed to support an outstanding visitor experience as well as adequately maintain the appearance of the facility. Essential Duties • To assist with training, development of all Setup staff, encouraging continuous personal development and ensure high levels of team morale and motivation. • Delegate responsibilities to coworkers • Work directly with promoters and clients to attend setup changes. • Serve as a guide for team members when performing setups. • Complete administrative tasks as required. • Generate daily report of tasks completed by all setup team. • Assist subcontractors when needed. • Carry out offsite venue communication for equipment. • Assist Events Department with floor plan creation. • Maintains cleanliness, preparedness and organization of all equipment and supplies in all storage areas. • Set up and take down flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other equipment for the successful execution of events. • Operates equipment, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines, extractors, or other light power-driven equipment. • Maintain and repair event equipment. • Transport equipment to and from offsite storage, as is necessary. • Perform general maintenance and janitorial duties as needed. • Assist clients and facility visitors as needed. • Attend and participate in planning, training, and required meetings. • There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis. • The working hours are scheduled based on the needs the facility. Part-Time On-Call scheduling. Education and/or Experience • High School diploma or GED equivalent. • Previous experience working in an event set-up or related field preferred. • Professional appearance and attitude are essential. • Have a working knowledge of hand tools. • Forklift certification preferred. • Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours. • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. • Ability to understand and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues. • Ability to work through the facility and at various events including sitting, standing walking, lifting, reaching, stooping, kneeling and/or crouching, pulling and pushing. • Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled. • Ability to safely operate various mechanical equipment and tools. • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and in warm temperatures. • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with mechanical assistance.
