TITLE: Mechanical Commissioning Agent II LOCATION: Various worksites within the US/ Remote POSITION SUMMMARY: The Data Center Mechanical Commissioning Agent II executes commissioning of data center critical systems including generators, CRAC, roof top AHUs, humidifier, pre-action and wet sprinkler systems, chillers, cooling towers, chill water pumps, exhaust fans and digital electrical distribution equipment. This person is responsible for conducting reviews of client design packages, monitoring, and analyzing FAT and First of Kind equipment Level 3 tests and developing O&M documentation to serve as a reference for data center mechanical equipment. The Data Center Commissioning Engineer is critical in the company's continued success and growth by ensuring that testing has been executed and the client's data centers operate at maximum operational efficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Manage projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering Commissioning role for large facility projects. - The commissioning experts adhere to a thorough quality management/QC process and procedures. - Participate in daily commissioning activity meetings which services include: Equipment pre-start-up and start-up procedures; Development of standard operating procedures (SOP's) and Methods of Procedures (MOPs); Comprehensive Commissioning documentation. - Prepare commissioning test procedures and reports; Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projects; Write comprehensive reports which include the following sections: recommendations for optimizing building operations, functional checklists, list of deficiencies, equipment operation and maintenance manuals. - Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning. - Integrated system testing; Load Bank Testing; Compilation of all testing procedure results. - Develop and administer functional tests for various systems, such as: electrical distribution systems, UPS, standby generators, etc. - System Assembly; Commission plan preparation; Follow company QC process and procedures. - Help lead and manage any external resources; Schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings; Attend construction and coordination meetings if required for the project. - Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors and owners’ agents as needed; Execute project assignments; Interface with project contractors, vendors, and testing technicians; Interact with all facets of the company: engineering, design, etc. - Verify results of test reports - Assist with field troubleshooting of commissioned equipment as needed. - Must be US citizen - Must be able to travel approximately 75% of time QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ENTRUST Solutions Group is looking for a Hydro Mechanical Engineer with strong design and commissioning expertise in hydro turbines and associated balance of plant (BOP) systems for projects in the United States and Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for turbine mechanical design, technical review and site commissioning support. Responsibilities: - Perform mechanical design and review of hydro turbines (Francis, Kaplan, Pelton, etc.) and associated components. - Perform and review mechanical calculations including structural integrity, vibration, fatigue, and hydraulic load assessments. - Conduct or supervise finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using tools such as ANSYS or equivalent software. - Support condition assessment, refurbishment, uprating, and modernization projects. - Prepare and review technical specifications, calculation notes, design reports, and drawings. - Support selection and sizing of turbine equipment and auxiliary mechanical systems. - Provide technical evaluation of vendor proposals and participate in technical bid assessments. - Review and approve manufacturer documentation and fabrication drawings. - Lead and/or support turbine commissioning activities, including installation supervision, testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification. - Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues during commissioning and operation phases. - Coordinate with electrical, civil, and control engineers for integrated hydropower plant design. - Ensure compliance with applicable IEC, ASME standards and relevant international codes. - Prepare detailed technical reports and inspection documentation. - Provide construction support services including submittal review, site inspections, and quality assurance. - Attend client meetings (both virtually and in-person). - Travel as required but not expected to exceed 25%. - Performs all other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of BOP systems, including: lubrication systems, hydraulic power units, compressed air systems. - Experience in fatigue analysis, welding and cavitation. - Experience in design or analysis of penstock, spherical valves and butterfly valves would be considered a plus. - Experience in AutoCAD, Microstation or other 2D and 3D modelling software (drafting will likely not be part of your role, but experience with the software our drafters and designers use is still very valuable).
