Community Fundraising Coordinator

VETs

Role Description VETS is seeking an experienced independent contractor to provide Community Fundraising Coordination services. This role supports our growing base of grassroots fundraisers, volunteers, and ambassadors by helping to activate community-driven fundraising campaigns and small-scale events. The ideal contractor excels at relationship-building, creating useful resources, and empowering supporters to take meaningful action on behalf of the mission. Scope of Services / Key Responsibilities - Peer Fundraiser Support: - Serve as a primary point of contact for individuals and teams participating in grassroots fundraising efforts (e.g., 5Ks, golf tournaments, social media campaigns). - Provide resources, guidance, and encouragement to optimize campaign success. - Campaign Coordination: - Support planning and execution of peer-to-peer initiatives such as GivingTuesday, and other community fundraising activities. - Manage timelines, communications, and donor engagement strategies for assigned projects. - Volunteer & Ambassador Engagement: - Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of VETS ambassadors and volunteers. - Partner with the Advocacy Membership Program on community-driven fundraising initiatives. - Resource Development: - Create and maintain digital toolkits, templates, social media assets, and event-planning guides to equip supporters. - Data & Reporting: - Track campaign progress, supporter interactions, and donor activity in Salesforce and GoFundMe Pro. - Compile reports and contribute insights for forecasting and performance evaluation. - Event Coordination: - Provide logistical support for small-scale virtual and in-person community events. - Offer on-site support for select events, when agreed upon in advance. - Cross-Team Collaboration: - Coordinate with Development, Communications, and Program teams to elevate community fundraising and spotlight supporter stories. Qualifications - Strong alignment with the VETS mission and interest in innovative mental health solutions for veterans. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to manage workload, timelines, and priorities independently. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). - Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising tools (e.g., GoFundMe Pro, Classy, etc.). - Ability to develop mission-aligned content that supports participation and engagement. Preferred Experience - 2+ years in fundraising, donor engagement, volunteer management, or event coordination. - Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and platforms. - Experience working within a CRM environment (Salesforce preferred). - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Compensation & Terms - Independent contractor engagement. - Hourly rate commensurate with experience. - Estimated 15–25 hours per week. - Flexible schedule, with occasional evening or weekend work depending on events or campaign needs. Job Summary: The Care Manager—Registered Nurse is a key member of our Special Needs Plan (SNP) care team, responsible for coordinating care for members who often face multiple chronic medical and behavioral health conditions, as well as various social determinants of health (SDoH) needs. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate members’ needs and addressing SDoH challenges by connecting them with appropriate resources and support services. The Social Worker provides education and guidance to members and their families on managing chronic conditions and navigating the healthcare system.
