You’ll be supporting our growth by going the extra mile so that every candidate feels valued and respected, and moving mountains in the background to make interviewing with Monzo an effortless and delightful process. 🔑 You’ll play a key role by... - Partnering with Tech Recruiters, Executive Assistants and interviewers to schedule all candidate interviews. - Juggling complex diaries for our interviewers and finding ways to make scheduling easier. - Providing an amazing, memorable, stress-free experience for candidates during their interview process, including showing them round our London office. - Managing candidate travel and relocation, if needed. - Doing the onboarding admin for new hires and adding them to our internal systems. - Kicking off & monitoring background checks, including some in person right to work checks from our London office. - Working with People Operations & People Experience to make sure things are set up for new hires’ first day. - Working on projects to make all of our hiring processes run like clockwork. 🤩 We’d love to hear from you if… - You have experience in an Administration, Executive/Personal Assistant or Coordination role. Role Description GovExec is seeking a Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be the head of the FP&A function for GovExec. In this role you develop and track KPIs by department and product, ad hoc analysis for department heads, and support the CFO on merger & acquisition (M&A) execution and integration. A key focus will be utilizing operating data from Hubspot, Asana, etc to create more data-driven forecasts, including identifying and addressing gaps in our current forecasting tools. - Lead the financial planning & analysis activities for GovExec, including the creation of annual budgets, reforecasts, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial results for management and investors, management with department heads of budget by department, and ownership of multi-year financial model. - Serve as the CFO’s right hand and a strategic thought partner to senior management, informing company strategy and evaluating business decisions through case and scenario analysis. - Be the primary FP&A partner to the Intelligence (Data and Research) business unit. - Generate, maintain, and automate financial and operational reporting for various internal stakeholders. - Partner with the CFO to ensure all operating and financial metrics are properly defined, monitored, and met. - Monitor product-level and market-level KPIs/metrics and help department heads develop ways to track these metrics and use them to optimize GovExec performance. - Own, maintain, and refine the Company’s multi-year financial models, including ARR/MRR models and unit economics to support short and long term business planning. - Partner with the Accounting team on monthly close process, financial reporting, and preparation of GAAP financial statements. - Be actively involved with M&A activities, including detailed financial modeling and managing integration activities. - Manage an onshore/offshore FP&A team of 3-4, setting high standards for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism. - Automate and generate financial reporting, translating complex data into clear narrative and presentations that proactively address leadership and board questions. - Identify gaps in data quality or workflows and implement solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on finance, accounting, economics, or with relevant coursework in these disciplines. - 10-12 years professional experience in the FP&A function. - Strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles. - Superb organizational skills and experience leading projects. - Robust financial and operational modeling experience with advanced excel skills and a strong understanding of modeling best practices. - Experience developing reporting packages (Excel and PPT), preferably at a growth-stage or middle market company. - History of successfully leading business case analysis and planning processes which set strategy through a financial lens. - Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
