Responsibilities Platform Administration & Lifecycle Management - Administer and enhance the Morpheus Enterprise Software platform to automate provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management of virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, and related infrastructure. - Manage underlying infrastructure hosts (e.g., vSphere, OLVM) and clusters - Maintain and enhance the Image Catalog to enable secure self-service provisioning for development teams. - Manage templates, blueprints, and automation workflows within Morpheus for consistent and compliant infrastructure delivery. Kubernetes and Container Platform Operations - Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized build pipelines and development/test environments in controlled networks. - Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enforce security baselines, air-gapped operations (where needed), and approved container sources. - Establish infrastructure guardrails ensuring compliance with supply chain security requirements. Infrastructure Automation & Integration - Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, scripts, and automation pipelines to configure hosts, clusters, and platforms consistently across environments. - Work closely with Security and Compliance teams to ensure platform configurations align with NIST 800-218 (SSDF) and NIST 800-171. - Integrate platforms with secure CI/CD systems (e.g., CloudBees Jenkins), artifact management (JFrog Artifactory), and observability platforms (Splunk, Zabbix). Performance, Monitoring, and Reliability - Monitor platform health and performance; proactively resolve issues impacting secure builds, developers, or test teams. - Create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics for platform services. - Lead efforts to improve platform resiliency, backup, and disaster recovery processes. Security & Compliance - Ensure platforms meet all applicable security and compliance controls, including: - Network segmentation and isolation. - Strong access controls and RBAC. - Secure audit logging and retention. - Vulnerability management, patching, and configuration management aligned with NIST. - Support internal and external audits, including providing evidence of compliance. Qualifications Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. - 4+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering. - Hands-on experience with platforms like Morpheus Data, CloudBolt, VMware vSphere, OLVM, or OpenShift. - Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) with automation expertise in Ansible. - Experience provisioning and managing Kubernetes clusters (Rancher, OpenShift, EKS, etc.). - Expertise in secure infrastructure management within controlled environments. - Experience integrating infrastructure platforms with CI/CD, observability, and security tools. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Morpheus Enterprise Software or similar platforms. - Background in aerospace, defense, or government programs. - Familiarity with NIST 800-53, CMMC, and supply-chain security. - Experience with monitoring and secrets management platforms. - Solid knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization in air-gapped or segmented environments. - Relevant certifications preferred: - Morpheus Data Certified Administrator. - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). - ITIL, CISSP, or similar compliance/security certifications.
