Position Summary Aeon is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance Team. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance across a portfolio of multifamily tax credit and federally subsidized housing properties. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of affordable housing programs, such as Tax Credits, Section 8, and HOME, and will demonstrate a high level of accuracy, organization, and professionalism. This position requires the ability to build strong working relationships with site staff and external agency partners. The Compliance Specialist reports to the Director of Compliance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Complete income certifications for Housing Tax Credit, Section 8, and other housing programs - Review and audit certification files to ensure accuracy and compliance - Process vouchers, maintain master files, and ensure adherence to HUD requirements - Monitor rent and income restrictions in accordance with funding agreements - Identify, address, and resolve compliance issues in collaboration with the Compliance Team - Support annual reporting requirements, including data entry into systems such as PORT and CHART - Provide training and guidance to site staff on compliance procedures and updates - Coordinate responses to property inspections conducted by monitoring agencies - Oversee and support the Section 811 PRA program, including applicant intake and move-in coordination - Conduct first-year Tax Credit file reviews and assist with audits and follow-ups - Track utility allowances and ensure ongoing compliance with program requirements - Enter and manage data within HMIS and prepare related reports Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing complex regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment. They are a critical thinker with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. In addition, the Compliance Specialist will have the following skills: - In-depth knowledge of Section 42, Section 8, Section 202, RAD, HOME & Section 811 - Familiarity with HUD Handbook 4350.3 and EIV - Strong organizational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel - Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, Fortress) preferred - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Ability to engage in interpersonal communication is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations. - Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. - Must be a resourceful, problem solving, relationship-building, seeker of excellence. - Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 10lbs. - Ability to reach above and below the shoulders. - Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. - Ability to tour properties including but not limited to inspecting grounds, hallways, stairwells, and apartment homes. - Ability to file, open and close file drawers, and enter data into a computer for extended periods of time. Compensation, Hours & Location This position has a range of pay of $28-$30/hr, depending on experience and skillset. This is a full-time, primarily Monday–Friday position with typical hours of 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Some schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs. This is a hybrid role, based out of Aeon's Central Office in Minneapolis' North Loop, with regular travel to properties throughout the Twin Cities. In-person work is typically required on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional on-site responsibilities as needed. What you'll do As Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance, Malaysia you will deliver on the regulatory engagement strategy for Airwallex in the region and manage our existing payment services and money remittance regulatory compliance program. You will maintain our licensing responsibilities and coordinate with all internal and external parties as necessary to ensure compliance. This includes communication of regulatory requirements, cross-functional collaboration to productize solutions and offerings, implementation and execution of processes, filing of all requisite reports, renewal of registrations and licenses, and interfacing with regulators. You will analyse new and existing products and provide guidance to ensure that our 2LOD controls are fit for purpose and comply with regulatory obligations and guide the first line business to enable the maturity of both customer-facing and internal back-office processes and product features.
