Instructional Designer
RWS Group
• Design, develop, and manage eLearning modules and blended learning experiences that support the RWS product ecosystem. • Define learning objectives, write scripts, outline and storyboard content, and develop course materials using instructional design best practices. • Ensure all learning content is designed with accessibility principles in mind, following WCAG-aligned guidance and inclusive learning standards. • Leverage UX and visual design principles to create intuitive and engaging learning experiences. • Work directly with SMEs and Product Training team members to translate complex product information into learner-friendly content. • Adapt content for multiple audiences including external customers, internal employees, and partners. • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders, ensuring shared understanding of scope, timelines, and expectations. • Own assigned eLearning projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales. • Maintain training content up to date on the LMS and other platforms, ensuring accuracy, currency, and logical organisation. • Support governance processes for content lifecycle management, including planning for retiring outdated materials. • Contribute to best practices, tooling decisions, and continuous improvement within the product training function. • Stay current on emerging learning technologies, AI integration, accessibility practices, and innovative design techniques that can enhance RWS’s training offering. • Produce or edit video and animations for learning content using tools such as Camtasia and Vyond. • Create knowledge checks, assessments, exams, and certification assets. • Gather, analyse, and act on learner feedback to strengthen training quality and user experience. • Proactively suggest enhancements to workflows, templates, and content design approaches.
Job Requirements
- Strong foundation in instructional design principles and Learning & Development strategies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in eLearning development.
- Proven ability to develop courses using Articulate Storyline 360.
- Understanding of learner-centred design, UX best practices, and visual communication.
- Demonstrated ability to design learning accessible to the widest possible audience (WCAG awareness, inclusive design).
- Experience writing technical content and developing structured training materials.
- Experience creating assessments and knowledge checks.
- Experience with LMS platforms (advantage).
- Experience with video or animation tools (advantage).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.
